At the end of the new South Park episode, the identity of Mysterion is left up in the air. The Coon mentions he said his name that one time. If we look at the names of people said by the Coon himself in their first encounter, and exclude Kyle based on the later meeting of Mysterion and Kyle, only Clyde, Craig and Stan's names are mentioned. However, later on sans the disguise, Cartman demands to know if it's Kenny. Comparing these with the photos in Professor Chaos' lair, Stan, Craig, Clyde and Kenny are left on the list of people Chaos lacks proof of not being Mysterion.

Also, while Cartman is paying homage to the Coon in class, and mentions the time and location of the Coon's future appearance, only Kenny and Stan seem to be paying apt attention, with Clyde even just being woken up to hear the news.

So anyway, who do you all believe Mysterion truly is. I personally think it's Stan, based on the evidence, and his voice.

If what Cartman or the "Coon" says is true about saying his name before then I'll have to go with Clyde like you said he was asleep in class So maybe he's up at night patrolling or was working on his suit (or longshot planning to get back at Cartman for waking him up). Also he made a point of saying he had a picture of Mysterion in his locker while the other kids wern't even looking that way. Craig is known for not liking anyone so hero wouldn't really be in his MO. I also have to thiink Stan is out becuase he's already one of the main stars of the show why wouldn't he want to try to make a superhero team with his friends like when they wanted to be Ninja/Martial Arts Fighters.

Off-Topic:
Normally posting on a forum to say how much I hate the concept being discussed, is usually an act I save for people who try to start religious debates over the Internet,or people who argue over the best T.V show (because the answer is alway Winnie the Pooh), I will add "discussion about south park" to my list immediately followed by an earmark for family guy.
So in short I hate south park, I cant think of any show more Idiotic, juvenile, disturbing, unfunny and just all around bad, while simultaneously relying on shock laughs to cover up bad writing and lack of an original premises. I would rather listen to Dan cook yell in my ear for two hours about awkward situations in urinals, then spend 45 minutes watching a South park episode.
The show makes my blood boil just watching it, fully knowing that 50% of Americas youth are watching it with me, absorbing every line shouted out of the poorly drawn mouths of cartman and his friends. Then after the endeavor is over, I will be assaulted by friends co-workers, roommates and classmates quoting the poorly written dialogue of the show in a nauseating voice thats supposed to resemble cartman.
I loath the show with all of my blackened heart.

On-Topic:
But if I was going to guess Id say it was Craig.

And so you came into this thread why?
I understand how you feel, I can't be bothered with football (meaning real UK football, not the Hand-egg the US plays) and people idolising those overpaid chavs, so.... where am I not posting... in a football forum.
You've clearly watched the show to guess, then taken the time to post on it. I'd have to guess you're trolling.

Successful troll is successful. And has a club of some variety.

It really does seem more... in character for it to be Craig than anyone. Plus he beat up Butters.

Well Its supposed to be perceived as at least mildly Ironic that I spew bile about a show but can still make a guess on one of its more recent premises, I'm not trolling in any form or fashion. While my tactics may be a bit unorthodox, I'm still contributing to the discussion, and even though it was an aside on my comment, it was meant to give an ironic contrast to what I think, and what I do.
sorry, next time I wont add variety to the discussion I'll just post a one line answer and leave.

I say Kenny for the main reason that, although it was up to the writers for Mysterion to not take his hood off he is the only character on southpark to constantly wear a hood. And instead of him dying they had him arrested.

Then again I did vote Craig.

hippo24, your a fucking dickhead.

whats wrong with religious debate on the internet? does all that thinking make your brain hurt? And you think there never has been or never will a better show than winnie the poo? Could you be any more closed minded and juvenile?

I did want to point out to you that nobody cares what you think, but i realised that i did; in fact i cared enough to join this forum, so im just gonna stick with pointing out that your a fucking dickhead. no more, no less.

and by the way, 'loath' means 'unwilling'. i think you mean LOATHE. And its not 'ironic' that you can 'spew bile' and still guess, it means either you've read this post or watched the episode, and neither is ironic in the sense you want it be. perhaps it is ironic in the sense Alanis Morissette uses it, but she hasnt got a clue what it means, so nevermind.

didnt your mama ever tell you 'if you havent got something nice to say dont say anything at all'? i guess not, maybe her mouth was too full of dick.

I agree with Lucane, must have bin clyde...

My money is on Kenny for the moment. Mysterion wears a hood for instance, and also wears underwear on the outside of his pants. Underwear is a low-cost costume acessory. If I remember right, Kenny was awake during the cartman's Coon presentation. Also, if I remember right, Kenny has a thing for firecrackers. Also, Kenny would have no problem fighting Butters as professor Chaos if you remember the ninja star incident. That, and he's the one that I would have least expected.

Though I don't really know about his motives. I would say boredom. Kenny doesn't really have outstanding morals. That sort of thing looks like Stan's alley. I don't think it's Craig because I figure he's gotten all of his heroism out of his system since Peru, and he doesn't feel like doing adventurous things again since he slammed the door on the boys trying to get him to play in a mexican band before the credits in Pandemic 2. I sure don't know what Clyde's motivation would be. He doesn't seem like the roleplaying type.

I'm thinking that whoever Mysterion is, got the idea straight from Cartman to beat him at his own game. Stan and Kenny were both at the bus stop that morning, adn they were also both awake during Cartman's show and tell.

I'm still thinking Kenny, then Stan as my second choice.

This is one of those times I wish South Park would hurry up and air in Australia. Stupid slow TV networks!

You make some very good points here. I'm inclined to agree with you.

And I'm pretty sure the deep, gravelly voice rules out any girls. Although that was funny when Wendy says that and Cartman's like "*****..." lol
