Not on release day, just want to find out if it puts both sides in a fair light, or just a game about killing stormtroopers in redcoats.

Not until the PC version is released, although I will be picking up AC:Liberation on the PS Vita tomorrow, so, yes I will. So excited to get another game developed with the Vita in mind.

I'm actually one of the few who loved Revelations, but I'm not so sure about 3. I don't find the setting appealing, I don't find the environments pretty and it seems like that new ancestor character is all solemn and brooding and not fun at all. So I wanna know a whole lot more about the game before I make that purchase. I'll probably see what Yahtzee and Gav have to say, watch a few videos and wait for the price to drop a bit...

I tried AssCreed and didn't like it, then against all logic I tried AssCreed II...and didn't like that. That is it for me for the series. Strangely I loved The Saboteur which is similar, and yet nothing alike.

I have a love-hate relationship with AssCreed. I love it when things go smoothly and very assassiny. On the other hand when I jump off a ledge to a 50-foot death then I don't really like it. As a whole though, the games have been good to me. I will buy AssCreed 3.

Hell fucking yes. While Revelations may have been very dissapointing (but still enjoyable nonetheless), I have nothing but love for the franchise as a whole and come hell or high water, nothing will stop me from tearing through the frontier treetops, hanging Templars with my rope darts, hacking apart Redcoats with my tomahawk, and wreaking hell on the Royal Expeditionary Navy with my broadside cannons on the open seas.

I am absolutely fucking ready Assassin's Creed III. Take me.

No spoilers, but I can say that, for the first few hours, this is one of the most unfinished AAA games I have ever seen come onto the market. Sound quality issues, character animations bugging out, downright ugly scenery, and game play animations being weird all over the place. First impressions aren't everything, but right now I'm really wondering how Ubisoft could put this out on the market and say it's a quality product.

I think I might eventually get it. From what I've seen it really looks good, but money is tight and since my impulse buying of The Force Unleashed 2, I'm more cautious with my money. That and I still have to play Revelations. Can somebody tell my WHY exactly it's not as good as the others ? I heard all the new things they added were gimmicks, like the bombs and such.

It's Ubisoft, so no. Maybe years from now when it's like £3.99 on sale. It's a strange series that went from mediocre to good to boring to didn't-bother-to-play.

Definitely, but definitely not for a few months. I never pay launch price, and I'm happy for now, but I've played every Assassin's Creed so far, I love the core gameplay and I'm giving it one more chance to f***ing DO SOMETHING with the plot. Ubisoft. You can't just have Desmond enter more and more levels of unconsciousness until you've run out of time periods. I swear I'll stop if there's a direct sequel to this game, in the same time period.

The most glaring issues? Ezio's portion of the game ultimately amounts to jack shit in that he really only accomplishes a single major thing over the course of the story of Revelations, something that anyone with even a passing knowledge of Ottoman history will know about, the bombs and hookblade don't really add much to the core gameplay and could be completely cut out without affecting the rest of the game, Desmond's story sections are poorly handled and a chore to play through (thank Jebus they're entirely optional), and Constantinople doesn't feel alive, the historical characters, even fucking Ezio are largely two-dimensional and nothing you accomplish seems to have any effect on the populace or city itself as a whole and makes your victories ring quite hollow.

Also, it's short as fuck, I blazed through it in one sitting.

The core gameplay is still as strong as it was in ACII and BroHood though, so it's worth a play through if you're a huge fan, otherwise it's a waste of money.

I get into more detail in my review of it, read if you want. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.326921-My-First-Review-Assassins-Creed-Revelations#13341609]

I preordered it on Amazon, so it should arrive right on my doorstep tomorrow morning :D. However, I won't be playing it straight away. I decided to play through the whole series again in preperation but due to timing issues I still haven't finished Revelations, so I'll be trying to get through that for the rest of the week whenever I have some spare time (and Thursday to Saturday inclusive I won't be playing games at all due to work overtime). I guess I'll just have to avoid spoilers then, eh? xD

Oh, and a big question here that Google doesn't seem to want to help me with. I want to play through the multiplayer of the games and reach the maximum level on Brotherhood and Revelations before I even start playing the multiplayer on AC3, but whenever I try to play on Brotherhood I literally cannot get a game at all. So, what I want to know is, is the Brotherhood multiplayer dead or not? Also, same question for the Revelations multiplayer, since I haven't got the online pass for it yet (I bought the game preowned and never bothered with the multiplayer until now).

After what they did to PC gamers with assassins creed 2 I was disgusted with myself for buying it (I bought it well before the PC release, on PS3).

Needless to say, I won't by buying it.

Oh hell yeah. I'm picking it up today. I'll probably post my thoughts on it later on so that people who can't get it for some time know if the whole "it's call of duty American revolution" argument is true or not.

Yup, I am very excited for it!

I love all the games, sure the combat is just counter everything and running involves holding 3 buttons but I just loves it!

I'm a little disappointed there isn't more sea warfare, 2 battles really isn't enough. I really want to run through a persons house though, it's always been a dream of mine to just surprise a room full of people by bursting in the window, sprinting through, then bursting out the other window and everybody in the room is like "WTF was that!?" or "There is a door just there, asshole!".

Also looking forward to stringing a dude up from a tree .... wow, that was a grim sentence.
