I say Daniel Craig, if only because his hyper-hardass and cynical take on the character returned him (somewhat to his literary roots). It has absolutely nothing to do with how increedibly good-looking and GAR [http://encyclopediadramatica.com/GAR]* he is,honest!

Different people had different actors who played the archetype, though, so I won't beef with anything short of Timothy Dalton's performance in Moonraker!

The thing about Daniel Craig is that he is a good actor, but he just isn't Bond. The last two movies just didn't feel like James Bond movies, they felt like Borne Identity rip-offs.

I'd say either Brosnan or Connery were the best. Never seen Dalton or Lazenby though.

Sean Connery, Rodger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan, in that order. Daniel Craig blew as a James Bond. George and Tim didn't do Bond justice, either.
