or pointing out that murdered strippers in Saints Row drop money without noticing that every other NPC does the same thing)
To be fair, she did say later in the video that most NPCs are subjected to that violence, but her problem was with how gendered she believes it becomes when it is a prostitute.
Anyways, as for my personal opinion, I'm sort of neutral. She's a boring speaker (albeit she seems to be getting better), often does a horrible job in picking studies to cite, doesn't always give the clearest position of where she stands (seriously, is she against all sexualized female NPCs or not?), has decried advancements we have made as just being worse (e.g. the Damsel in Distress fighting back), and offers too few ideas of how to work around these problems, and when she does offer solutions, it tends to come across as more constricting (in a bad way) to storytelling rather than liberating (in a good way). At the same time, she does occasionally make good points, shows an understanding of certain game systems (e.g. win states) that I'd imagine most gamers don't really think about, and at least gets a discussion going.
Sure, I'd much rather have someone who does a better job at researching and presenting material than she does, but at least she is doing something. It really just comes down to whether or not I agree with her points, and just like everyone, she'll make some good and bad ones. So I'd say that I look forward to her videos, but at the same time, I wouldn't say that I fully agree with her.
