Pet every time, as I don't really care about you.

No offence, I've just never met/seen/interacted with you, if you died it wouldn't impact my life in any way.

I'd let you die.

No offense, but I don't know you and your death would probably hold as much meaning to me as any other death of a person I've never met.

I've thought about this before actually, and every outcome I choose my pet. I've spent too much time with them to choose a stranger over their lives.

The only pet I would be (possibly) willing to let die would be my fish. Even that would be tough since my last fish lived for 3 years. I currently have no fish though so...you'd be outta luck.

Going with the sound reasoning that every being needs a chance and given that humans > animals then I would save you, but since humans are generally pricks I would be the fucking bastard I am and save my pet rock by default. Nothing personal though, I'm just not a people-person (except when hiding in my room with my computer).

My cat died a while ago. She's the one in my profile picture. I think I'd exchange you for her any time. I have a hard time thinking you're as cuddly of cute as she was. Nothing personal, I just value animals about as high as people, and an animal close to me is obviously worth more to me than some random guy I've never met. Sorry. :3

I love my pets, and it would be devastating, but I couldn't let a human life go over a dog or a cat.

You live

If I know my cat, She don't hang 'round when shit goes down, so you would be the obvious optimal choice.

I'd let my pet die without a second thought (though with quite a lot of sadness). At the end of the day, only one of you is sentient and so can appreciate being saved.

I accidentally chose OP due to the wording. I do not value any animal life over a human life. Sorry, hamster.

If I ever get a pet, it'd be a dog. So you'd be singled out pretty quickly brah.

This, including the part on misreading the poll question. My dog might as well be a human.

There is something wrong with the very idea of "letting something die". When you say, "Let it die", you're assuming that you have some involvement or responsibility in something's death without being directly responsible for it.

How can this be? How can a person bear any responsibility AT ALL for something he is not the cause of?
