Then after the like 10th naxx run i like... this suxx.
Well, Naxx does suck.
It's just a recycled raid and a step-ladder to the 'actual' raid content.
Although Ulduar sucks too.
ToC is pretty good, and ICC is a proper, good raid.

ICC is even pretty damn hard.
Only one guild in the world has actually downed the Lich King on heroic 25 man yet.
It's so hard people are complaining that it's too hard.
Irony, eh?
Yea I miss Karazhan,Gruul,BT,Sunwell and those... the good old days.

I played it because all of my friends were. Now none of my friends are and I keep getting kicked from guilds for inactivity due to long school terms. With no-one else you know online, it is a uniquely boring game.
I agree lately wow doesnt have much appeal. Leveling is for me the most appealing part of any form of RPG videogame, but without many players leveling to help, no groups to clear dungeons and the access to just common items several levels below yours slows down your progression, increases your chances to die and can make the experience very frustrating. While reaching lvl 80 and pugging heroics and the easiest raiding bosses will give you the points and tokens to get some of the best gear in the game make you completely pimped in 2 months or less after reaching level 80. And after that is just plenty of the same, not to mention that with next expansion announce the old players know that even lich king items will become obsolete.

it just intrigued me, and I wanted to see why it was so popular....at first it was like any other MMO I played, but then the crackImean WoW addiction started to kick in.........all the exp, the gold, the pretty purple items...............it was bad.....I had to quit

If you want motivation to get your booty off the game type /played.....it will give you the push you need to be free

A mix of ads and liking the old RTS. Got it like a month after it first came out, tried it for the free month that comes with it, but my internet at the time was complete crap and I couldn't pull anything without lagging then dying. Let it sit for 2-3 years, then I saw it on that south park episode and said "This actually looks pretty cool" so I renewed my subscription, have been playing on-again, off-again since (depending when I have the time and money) and still enjoy the game to this day.

Cause it looked like a RPG, with y'know... real people! Woah, the possibilities must be endless! So after getting to 70 on a normal realm and realising it's all about competitive grinding, i found a nice RP realm with an awesome guild (Dwarven Rifle Squad woohoo)and leveling again was pretty fun there, but when i look back, a game + 2 expansions, 8 gamecards and 60 days played across two chars for the scarce moment of genuine RP fun, being pretty much nowhere raidwise and a frozen account... Wasn't friggin worth it.

I played the WoW tcg for a while, which got me curious.

Despite my initial disliking the idea of paying a monthly fee to farm endlessly in a game that never ends, and my extreme fear of getting addicted to exactly that, friends convinced me to start playing.

I liked the concept of warriors and mages and rolled a prot warrior because my friends needed a tank. I never played with my friends, but got addicted.

Soloed Vanilla and Tbc, and got the hots for raiding around the Wotlk release. I tanked 3.0 to death and got bored.

Leveled a DK to 80, deleted it for reasons I shall keep to myself to prevent a possible flamewar with any Death Knights reading this.
Then started a Druid because the concept of the lazorchicken appealed to me.

That druid made it to Stranglethorn Vale when I got tired with paying a monthly fee to farm endlessly in a game that never ends, and I quit as 3.1 was just released.

I returned to Wow during late ToC, and didn't quite feel like replacing my warrior's hard-earned 25-man raid loot with lolgear obtained from farming content he had outgeared yonks ago.
Leveled my druid to 80, did 1 heroic in Balance spec and decided to spec Resto instead. Loved healing anything as much as I loved tanking in the past.
Healed myself into proper gear, and got bored.

I created a mage, which actually got boring the second it dinged 80. So I made myself a pally.

I toyed around with the Paladin, tried going back to my warrior, tried making the mage more fun and keeping it all interesting and fresh. In the end, I got bored paying a monthly fee to farm endlessly in a game that never ends, and I pulled the plug again. Probably for good this time.

Ironically, the paladin is currently sitting in Grom'gol Base camp, awaiting further leveling.

Actually I meant something more along the lines of: I have no-one to play with, not even a guild, so my choices are effectively: PuG the same heroics over and over again, grind quests for achievements, or solo PvP.

My brother played it and I would watch him every now and again. I would play it and I enjoyed it for a little while, managing to get to Level 70. Of course, I wasen't interested anymore after hitting the level cap and when Blizzard raised it to 80 I didn't come back.

Played Warcraft 3 thought it was interesting, tried it.

Got to level 20-something with my Night Elf warrior, and thought that it was too dull, and I never realy wanted to do party-based quests or having to deal with some players. Just gave up on it since it didn't really reward you for single player gameplay.

I've been playing Warcraft series for years (Warcraft 2 is my 2nd favourite game ever), so of course when they brought out the MMO I had to try it, and to this day I still enjoy playing it.

Part RTS part other.
I played Warcraft 1 and 2. Somewhat got into starcraft, tried to play warcraft 3 for a bit. I was never good at RTS games in general. So around early highschool when WC3 came out I was like you know what I'm tried of RTS, I'll switch to something else. I ended up diving my time between Counter Strike and Ragnarok Online. And I really liked RO as an introduction MMORPG, but I got banned like a year after because my character was deemed broken, (went an insane spec of full agility/ full luck assassin with all the proper gear. This pretty much made me untouchable to any player and I would literally walk around and yawn as horde of people tried to stop me from stealing their bases.) But I digress, shortly after that the WoW beta came out and I was intrigued so I tried it and was like "oh cool all the warcraft guys are here" and I needed a new MMO. So I stuck with WoW from beta until last year.

I started playing because I took a college course in which we were required to make a WoW account and get to level 20. I'm totally serious.

Best class EVER.
What class was that?
It was an English class about women in gaming. Like I said, ever. It was lucky that I was able to grab the last spot in that class, and I mean lucky for my classmates, because if it had been full, someone would have died.

Nowhere you would want to be. Unless you love the cold.

Never EVER understood the appeal of MMOs or why people get so addicted to them, and believe me, I've tried numerous MMOs including World of Warcraft, and I even bought Guild Wars. They are all horribly repetitive games and fail to draw me in at all.

I remember getting a trial of WoW and after about 2 hours I couldn't bring myself to play it anymore.

I might be somewhat of a strange person here from what I've red about people who quit WoW but I REALLY liked WoW and even got my friends to play it, but after WotLK the game lost its charm, the game got so balanced every class became almost identical and the game got dumbed down really bad, but the original WoW and Burning Crusade days, best days I've spent behind video games

I just played WoW but watched friends playing other MMO games, trailers and you tube videos and got the idea despite diferences on graphics quality and story plot, in game mechanics you have seen one you have seen pretty much all.
