Because we respected Bungie for putting an actually pretty good end to the series with Reach. It neatly encapsulated about all we wanted from Halo as a series. Now it appears to be going the way of CoD, where there must be more and more and more, until it goes Guitar Hero, and no one wants to play it anymore.

M$ is going to go all nintendosh on us, it will beat the dead horse that is Halo(since Bungie pronounced it dead enough to abandon their massively successful child), until it has 'lived' the same lifetime as mario, zelda or pokémon, M$ will make halo one of the most hated games of all time, even by me, although i started on the 3rd, i utilised the backwards capability, and now have all of them... but i doubt that i will buy Halo 4, because it is M$ being necrophilliacs just like Nintendosh, and it is not lovingly crafted and thought out by the origional makers, it is a cheap rip-off just to make M$ a few quick quid(slang for £) that they can use to beat the dead horse for 20 years or more

Glossary:

M$ - Micro$o£t
Nintendosh - 'dosh' means money, guess the rest
beating a dead horse - squeesing all the money out of a product and then squeesing it a bit more, just in case, and then a lot more

EDIT:

ever heard of Star Wars Syndrome?

that was when the Star Wars Trilogy was expanded into, what, 9 films? so when we get to Halo 9(not including the Non-numbered Spinoffs(ODST&Reach being examples, as they didn't carry on the story), i will say, 'I Told You So!' in a really ironic voice

Erm.. No.
It ends with a cliffhanger.
It's not necessarily a cliffhanger. Not every ending has to wrap up every character's story and leave them at home awaiting daily life just sitting around.

Frozen in stasis travelling just about nowhere seems like a fairly solid ending to me. I thought it was quite clearly stated that there was very little, if anything at all for him to run into.

I totally get why everybody is tired of Halo I feel the same way about COD. But Im not tired of halo , I really love halo. I am a little nervous that bungie is not in charge but Im still exited. I just can't help it, My excitement is probably entirely based on nostalgia for the other games but I don't care some of my best memories with are playing halo 1 with my good friends. I don't really care if everybody's tired of it I want more.

I don't care just give me pie.

OT:All companies make games to make money. If people buy them why not continue to make them. Then again for me it's just a generic multiplayer game and might as well came out every year like a Madden game if people are willing to buy it.

Not it wasn't and no it didn't.

But it's totally a stunt to make more money.

Doesn't mean the game is going to be bad.

If you played it on legendary, you get an extra ending where you can see the wreckage falling into a unknown planet.

It's another money sucking franchise ruining expansion. Plus, I don't think the fanboys could mentally cope with Halo ending. And that goes double for CoD. You might see mass suicides.

I don't think it's going to suck, but I think it'll be an average game. The reason people loved the Halo series so much is because of all the support that Bungie gave the series, now with that gone and 343 industries taking over, I really don't care about the series all that much anymore.
343 Industries is like half made up of ex-Bungie employees. even Marty is supposedly doing the soundrack again for Halo 4

While that makes more sense, the trailer somewhat contradicts that, no?
This leads me to believe this stinger might just have been a plug to keep people hankering for a sequel.

Well. becuse it was supposed to end there, and now when microsoft pretty mush milked the franchise and did all what you could do in it.
tell me, What new mechanics and items/weapons could they add to it without ruining it?

except Jesus isn't a real person and Halo physically exists. Although they are total douches for playing mind games, that's just simple consumer psychological manipulation.
