It just seems weird we don't also have a PS3, it might be ironic that I'm hoping for one, since the only games I want for it are Metal Gear Soid 4 and Infamous, and possibly Batman: Arkam Asylum.

No, we're not saying you aren't human. The "troll" label suggest your STATED INTENTIONS are not entirely genuine.

I personally don't think you're a troll, because if you were you couldn't have resisted going to a much worse extent. I think you're just not too familiar with net etiquette. I have been there myself.

So when you're starting a post about ho great a platform is and why you think you shuld get one, try to be a bit more ballanced and open, even if only superficially. Such as "does the escapist think I should get a PS3? Is it the right console for me?" and state what draws you to it, and ask if anyone else feels in this situation.

He even made another post stating that he tried to xbox version and thought it didn't look good as the ps3. To be honest, even with the console exclusives most games are multiplats anyway - great games like Fallout, Batman, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty.

I'm a PS3 owner, but I accept the fact that while I find the PS3 exclusives more appealing, others will be drawn to the 360's.

It used to be worse for the PS3, timed exclusive games and DLC (Bioshock, GTA4, Mass Effect 2), but now as a gamer I really have nothing to complain about. There are very few games I can't play because I don't have an Xbox, especially since I recently bought a gaming-worthy PC. As I said above, most of my favourites are multiplats anyway so Xbox owners are getting loads of top quality games too. The more the merrier!

Xbox has better multiplayer gaming, but I must admit that my dislike for MP on consoles and the fact that the Move kicks the Kinects ass in the sense that it's actually fun/works make it ideal for me. Also, LBP2 as you said.

just play pc, upgradeable systems, best control scheme, customizable settings, and some of the best exclusive rts's (halo wars is not a strategy game). not to mention dedicated servers for most games.

The game looks very average (as in buying used when it only costs $15 dollars average.) especially how the main enemy looks like sentient chewing tobacco.

I did read his post, he said nothing about the "looks" of the game, and by "quality" he meant Sony is putting out a higher caliber of games. If we're going by partial logic like you are then he's also calling Final fantasy xiii a Sony product. Anything after the first post is irrelevant. What he posts after that is all troll-jutsu to prolong his trolling expedition. I did focus on what he said. You interpreted it differently than I did and that's all.

For what it's worth I own both consoles and I loves em. My time's been spread equal between Little Big Planet 2 and Fallout New Vegas of late (ps3, 360 respectively). What I don't loves me none of is 'dem trolls. Now I'll thank a guy with a Hitler avatar who jumps at the chance to whip out words like shit not to jump down my throat about internet decorum.

Besides, if he IS a troll our arguing is precisely what he wants.

That's why we got the PS3 long before we picked up an XBox.

The PS3 also has the benefit of having a built-in Blu-Ray player, and no fees for online content (no XBox Live equivalent. Their PSN subscription is done differently).

Edit: It's also totally wrong about DmC and Power Smash 4 and that's just what I know. And that no Kinect shit is retarded, why not ignore all motion control Wii games in that case?

I'm so sorry, but my inner-fanboy just had an enormous orgasm from that list of epicness, holy crap.

It's a great year to be a Ps3 owner for sure, and I'm kickin' it off with LBP2 and Killzone 3.

As for the topic at hand, the 360 never really appealed to me. I respect Microsoft, even when I was a more rabid fanboy back in the days of ole, but I just don't really see the appeal. Most of their games are either multiplatform or will come to the PC eventually, and their exclusives just look the same to me. The only thing that interests me about is is Kinect, and even then the only game I would want to play for it is Dance Central, which I have played, and it was quite fun.

If you love your 360, by all means go ahead and love it some more, I don't have a problem with it. I, personally, will enjoy my own exclusive games like LBP2, Killzone 3, Uncharted 3, and Resistance 3 (my god are there a lot of numbers at the end of those...)

I recently bought a PS3 for the exclusives and haven't touched my 360 since. I won't get rid of it due to a sizable collection, but I hope to use both equally. I'll certainly be using my 360 less in any case.

Let me begin by saying that I love my Xbox360. She's been with me since 2005 and has successfully survived like 5 moves. She's been a great friend when I need entertainment. Microsoft has totally stepped it up over the last few years in the way that they've improved the whole Xbox experience. I dig last.fm and netflix the most. I love that I can use my console for more things than just gaming.

But, therein lies the problem. i bet that 80% of my time spent on the Xbox is spent doing things other than gaming! I'm watching movies, listening to tunes, surfing the Zune store. So, why am I not playing games? QUALITY OF THE GAMES IS THE ANSWER! Compared to some titles i've seen for PS3 my old girl seems shabby and worn out. The folks from Sony definitely put out some beautiful stuff.

It almost seems that since Halo was released the Xbox guys have found themselves without a really compelling title that is Xbox only.

Yah the Xbox's only exclusives seem to be the Kinect games. The only games that seems interesting to me is resistance and God Of War, even then God Of War has no replay value which is what I look for in a game since I play them out till they're done and Resistance is another FPS. You know Kinect is all Microsoft has in terms of exclusives and it's beating the Move, at my Best Buy I saw the Kinect stand crowded with people of all age groups while the Move had no one near it.

In terms of those games, Little Big Planet, seems boring, FF13 is on Xbox too but it's the leader of Japanese RPG's and bores the shit out of me, Uncharted? There are plenty of adventure games like Fallout 3 which have as good if not better things to do.

I guess the reason is that the PS Move is failing and the Kinect is succeeding and the Xbox titles are going strong while the PS3 ones are not. I guess the main reason is that Sony lost the ambition Microsoft retained, i.e. the PS1 came out it was the first successful console to have CD AND double analog sticks, PS2 came out and brought the ability to play DVD's and was cheaper then all the other DVD players! PS3 came out and what was new? PSN. Oh gee not like the Xbox didn't already have that, what else? Blu-Ray. Gee what stunning innovation. PS Move! Oh gee sounds like what Nintendo did a couple years ago.

I have thought of getting a PS3, but the only reasons now would be:

And the Blu-ray player, but the prices have already come down with Blu-ray drives and players so not much sense in that.
