When a thread is funny but "inappropriate" why does everyone report?
I don't mean useless thread with no discussion
if its funny why does it matter???

Hmm, I was just on that thread having this discussion.
I don't get why people reported it, it didn't seem offensive or innappropriate.

People don't report Zero Punctuation for swearing and the arguably 18+ use of metaphors. It's basically the same principle so I honestly don't get why people do it unless it's grossly offensive which that thread wasn't.

I believe stupid threads count as well.

The purpose of these forums is to perpetuate level-headed discussion. Key word being "discussion." If someone's just making a thread for comments, then yeah, there really isn't much discussion to be had.

I didn't find it stupid. I'd call it random and fun. Most emphasis on the random part.
But I guess finding it stupid would explain why some people reported it

I've seen stupid threads at 4chan (by brother shows me some v threads) and I find them funny in "what the hell is wrong with you" kind of way, but if the same was to be done here I would not find them funny, its just a diffrent website alltogether.
What is good or funny in one place might not be in another.

yes it was funny for me and funny for other people as well, just because you don't find it funny dosn't mean you have to report it

I don't know why people report. I don't even understand why someone got a probation or suspension half the time. I don't see anything inappropriate in that thread.

I usually can see why the punishments are dished out, folks on Yahtzee videos always get punished for "First!" comments and rubbish like that. To me, the ones people get confused about are the tiny "yes, I agree with you" ones. Everyone is confused because the post had nothing offensive in it, no racist remarks, nothing of that sort. The thing is, the post has nothing at all, it's emptiness that contributes almost nothing to discussion, mods don't like it, and I can't say I like it either.
