I got it near launch, back when everyone thought it was going to be awesome. I still think it's worth owning. I think that their are enough games to keep me entertained and it's great at parties.

Really though it was because of all of their good games like:
Metroid 3
Mario Galaxy
Twilight Princess
Smash Bros Brawl
Mario kart
No more heros
Ect.

I guess because Nintendo is a brand I trust more than Microsoft, and more than Sony. Plus I've seen how people hook their wiimote up to their computers and thought that that would be pretty cool.

Because it has some awesome shooter games... and hell, it is fun... I play it more then I would play a 360 (if I had one)...

None of those options you have there... which are JUST A BIT biased towards not liking Nintendo and their creation...you make me sad. :\

I was expecting a series of good and unique games from Nintendo. I only found a few. And it seemed like a good idea to get one at the time.

Mario's timeless, plus you get all of the other great classics like Zelda and Metroid, and the whole virtual console thing, there's not much reason not to get one, it's more reasonably priced than the 360 and PS3, so yeah. Somthing for everyone.
