Out of those, Fallout 3. In other, Dragon Age: Origins. Bioware make the best RPG's and Fable 2 can fuck off.

I know its been said to death already, but I'd go with Fallout 3, as well. I've recently just gone back to it to start playing again myself, and enjoying it all over again.

Admittedly, I haven't been keeping an eye on the DLC since they first hit, but it seems that none have come out for a while - But even so, you still have 5 little additions to keep you going that much longer.

I Picked Fallout 3. Out of the 3 games its the only "futuristic" one, which i prefer in an RPG. Basically it plays very similar to Oblivion, so if you want my "fantasy" choice out of them, I'd say Oblivion. Also, you should be able to get the GOTY Edition of Fallout pretty cheap no, contains 5 extra missions and replaces the level 20 to a level 30 cap.

As far as "other" goes, once again back to fantasy, I never finished this game, but the 20+ hours I did play were fun; Dragon Age

Looks Like Dragon Age Has A Lot Of Votes
I Was Wondering If It Is Like World Of Warcraft Or More Like Mass Effect
Thanks

I didn't enjoy Fallout 3 and Oblivion is like perfect to me, get the GOTY version of whatever you buy though.

Also, if you liked Final Fantasy XIII, try Tales of Vesperia, it's very action based, has a great story, loads of extras and replayability and these gorgeous cel shaded graphics, check it out at least

Oblivion is total shit, dont get it, its a VERY BLAND RPG.

Get Fallout 3 or Dragon Age way better than crapblivion.

Why i hate oblivion?

-Bland story (demons invading help!)
-Lack of story.
-Quests are very bland.
-Low attention to detail.
-Lore thrown out the window.
-Boring graphics, with boring colour scheme.
-Everything defines boring.
Say what? Oblivion's colour scheme is way nicer than Fallout's or Dragon Age's because it's not just grey the majority of the game and theres just as much detail as the others with more freedom, quests aren't bland though some are boring (collecting Nirnroot) but you don't have to do that and where in Dragon Age's story is it anything but demons invading help? In addition, you can't say the story is bland then say it's nonexistent because that makes no sense.

I actually liked Fallout 3 more than Oblivion. If you like shooting, then you'll definitely like it.

What really sold that game to me was the environment. Probably your best bet if you liked Mass Effect 2.

Oblivion is just a big green garden the size of yorkshire, sorry Yatzhee was correct 100% on this, i thought that oblivion was bland before i seen his review, the whole game is just green and grey, green forests and grey towns, with almost the exact same field and forest everywhere. The only UNIQUE city was the imperial city, otherwise every town had same layout of guilds, shops, cathedral, castle. No place was special, it was all the same. The castles were all the same, the cathedrals were all the same.

Oblivion threw the lore out of the window, which is why its lost the exotic setting of morrowind, for a stupid generic Wizards and Knights in Europe setting. The quests lost the lore, the story had very little lore compared to morrowind, the game had no more lore, which took out the immersion, because it was replaced with genericness all the way.

I dont seem to connect to the quests much either, unlike in morrowind, where each quests had impressive detail and story behind it, and again it was intergrated VERY WELL with the lore.

With the idiotic idea of generating land, it felt again bland. When a game is handcrafted, like a Blizzard game, or Morrowind, the artists can acctually give soul and charachter to the the whole game, its design of the areas, charachters, and quests. In Morrowind every town felt very diffrent from the other.

The only thing oblivion improved was graphics, and threw all the fun and charachter and soul that morrowind had out of the window, instead having a pre-generated, boring green and grey, knights and wizards in a european setting.

Only good thing in oblivion was the Shivering Isles.

I was extremely dissapointed by Oblivion, because Morrowind is probably in my top 5 games that ive loved and played.
I haven't played Morrowind and I know some fans are pretty hard on Oblivion but when I compare it to Fallout 3, I dunno, I just can't enjoy anything about that game and whereas Dragon Age has story and environment variety, Oblivion is a sandbox game which isn't always story focused and Dragon Age has a LOT less land to walk on, therefore making it easier and quicker program and design these environments.

As for setting, Dragon Age is exactly the same though if you played Morrowind and they spoke about Cyrodill and you built an image of it I can see why you'd be let down

Voted other, for Dragon Age: Origins.

Between the others, I would personally go for Oblivion though it really depends on what kind of game you prefer. Despite feeling very similar, Fallout 3 and Oblivion are completely different games. F3 has an undeniably better story (though still very weak compared to Mass Effect and Dragon Age), as it's more engaging, cohesive and personal, but I think general exploration and dungeon diving is better in Oblivion. It really takes a certain kind of player to enjoy spending hours in bland wastelands and explore ruined buildings.

As for Fable, I haven't played the second one (no X360), but the first one didn't quite hold a candle against the big RPGs of the time (Morrowind, Neverwinter Nights, Knights of the Old Republic). It was still a cute game if only because it felt different.

Overall though, I really recommend Dragon Age.
