No. After getting rid of the Gamecube controller design for that new retarded game boy. Nintendo are just making gimmicks now and I just don't give a shit about 'em any more. Probably from all the selling out they did they forgot how to make real games as well.

I will not buy one of these for the same reason I would not duck tape a plasma screen tv to my face: it would annoying, impractical, quickly outdated, cost way more than it's worth, generate all sorts of unanticipated problems, and not have quite as many uses as I may have thought when I performed said action. Also, plasma screens get very hot.

Yeah our office is divided between the people who love that game, the people who don't get it, and the call of duty players.

We try not to make any sudden movements around the last group. I'm part of the second, I don't "get it" but I respect it and would eat up a different genre game with their humor and hero roster.

It's a pretty useless console. I won't be getting one.

The expensive controller has no purpose other than letting me check my inventory or map without pressing start. Playing the game on the screen instead of the TV will only work with games that don't have motion control.

The games coming out for it are not impressive at all. I mean, some of them were impressive when they came out on consoles before now, but that's just it. WiiU basically just has games that have already come out.

From what I gather, I can just play my Xbox 360 and get all the same games without them superfluously adding Mario Easter eggs to everything I play.

And no, another generic Zombie game isn't enough to impress me.

I got one, but it's currently out of my reach. I'll be able to test it out in about 2 weeks. I have a PC so I don't need the most powerful console when that is released, my PC will probably rank way higher than those anyway. The Wii U offers some promise by trying something new. Also despite playing PC 90% of the time I play anything at all I am a former Nintendo fanboy. I also know there are going to be first part titles that suit me with time.

Good God, no! I learned from my mistake in buying the Wii.

So you're not buying this console because the last one was bad? shouldn't you judge it on it's own merit?

OT: Yeah I will buy one. Nintendo has by far the best consoles for playing with friends, and by that I mean you and three of your friends playing whilst being in the same room. I love having friends over and playing Mario kart, Mario Party and Super Smash Bros. It's so much fun.

I might lament my loss of Zelda (Skyward was the first Zelda I didn't play) but I hate gimmick systems. I don't want to control the damn thing by flailing my arms or using a clunky tablet. My goal, when playing a game, is to have my intent expressed within the game as closely as possible. Gimmicky controls don't accomplish that, they hinder it.

And its limited power means that, once the other consoles come out with their next gen, the majority of games won't bother with the platform again.

The Wonderful 101 is the newest effort from Hideki Kamiya and platinum games. There isn't a set in ston release date yet as far as I know, but it's supposed to come out sometime in the wii u's launch window
