Got it and having a lot of fun. I like Zombie U finished it once so far died a few times jumped at times and felt like the first time i played silent hill one quite intense at times.
The two player survivor vs zombies capture the flag is awesome I haven't had that much fun in a while. I also have Tekken tag 2 amazing on any console i'm sure but the extras tekken ball and mushroom mode are nice additions. I got Trine 2 and Nano neo assault both are at a fair price and a lot of fun though haven't spent much time on those yet. Miiverse is a 0% hate area and i have spent quite some time helping people out and being helped.

Can't wait for Monster hunter ultimate Dragon quest X Bayonetta 2 leggo city wonderful 101 and im sure i am missing a few on that list.
Haters gonna hate the controller is not a gimmick unless you call game pads gimmicks and shoulder buttons and analogue sticks........
You left out the touchscreen. If you try to deny it you just sound stupid, what's wrong with enjoying a gimmick?

I'll probably pick one up down the line when it's cheap and has lots of games. It doesn't seem like something I'd sit down and play every weekend but it looks fun when I want to mix things up and play something different.

Take that such hyped up Zombie U game for the WII U.( Do not get me started on the whole U shit)It got shitty scores across the board.Just like most the other games. An why the hell would be re buy a game you already owned just because the Wii U? For that bullshit gimmick control pad? No thanks.
Yeah, no. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZombiU#Reception] The only people who gave it bad reviews were IGN, Game Informer, and Gamespot. Everyone else: Eurogamer, Joystiq, Metacritic, Giant Bomb, and others, Gave the game C +'s or Better. IGN gave it a low score because "There wasn't enough action in it". News flash to IGN, it wasn't a Zombie Action game, its a Zombie Horror Survival game: It wasn't a game you were meant to survive 100% of the way with no hiccups, it was meant to scare you and make you feel helpless. Of course you can complain about a game (It does look very repetitive with the cricket bashing), but to complain about it because "It's in the wrong Genre" is completely wrong. I know your not saying that; But you are saying it was universally panned, which is false. It's a good game with minor flaws, not a piece of crap.

I read the gamespot review and that is even filled with false information. Newsflash gamespot you CAN get your bag back.
Some think and play it like dead island, L4D or dead rising. ZombiU is none of those kind of games.

The fact that you refuse to see any faults with the Wii U. Even such godly games like Portal and Half-Life 2 you can find faults. Or the consoles like the WII or PS3 or Xbox all have faults.Yeah the Kinect and Move were awesome ideas....that's why they are shoe horned into every game they can be.NO.
There is so much ignorance and stupidity going on with this logic.

Good God, no! I learned from my mistake in buying the Wii.
Going with this ^

I use to love Nintendo, but the Wii was a real letdown, so I'll be skipping the Wii U for sure. *sad face*
This is also some flawed logic. If I never got another console/handheld by Nintendo cause of a single letdown generation, I'd have stopped buying their stuff since the N64, to which I own maybe 10 games. However, the few I owned I enjoyed, and the same went with the GameCube, though I owned considerably more this time around.

There is no reason to NOT go with a system cause the previous one wasn't so well. Hell, I wouldn't own an Xbox 360 right now by that logic. I hated the Xbox and never owned one cause I couldn't stand the games they had for it and thought the whole thing was an expensive coffee table. However, I own a 360 and am very glad I got it.

Does it not occur to you guys/gals that maybe Nintendo might learn from some of their mistakes, or that some decent third party material will come out? Lego Undercover looks quite good, but I'm not buying a console for 1 game at its current price. In a year or two, I will not be surprised if one or both of you is going on about "how awesome" the Wii U is. But even if you in particular are not, others probably will be.

My cousin has a Wii U, got it for his birthday. Although all he has is Mario Bros Wii and Nintendo Land, we all had fun with his friends. He and I both know some good stuff will eventually come out for it, and even if it doesn't, it'll replace his less functional Wii and allow for some fun party games. I actually find the "gimmick" behind the Wii U quite interesting, but financially I am not in a position to get one. I just sunk 200 bucks into a 3DS XL because my DS Lite finally died and I own scads of games for it.

Well, the Wii was a big heaping and steaming pile of dog poo so the Wii U is something I am extremely skeptical about. Not writing it off yet but as of now I can't see any logical reason to waste 300 on a Wii U when I could pimp my PC out at Microcenter's after Christmas sale instead.

The only reason I can POSSIBLY see myself getting one is if the new Zelda looks at least as good as Twilight Princess and nothing like either Skyward Sword or Wind Waker. Failing that, not a chance. I also have some very negative preconceptions regarding the controls. I just don't see it happening, really.

Sure there is, but to save on time and typing, I'll just say this:

I bought the Wii expecting much more than what I was given. I ended up rarely playing it and then I sold it. To me, I haven't seen much in the realm of change between the two and can make an educated guess that I won't enjoy the Wii U either based on what I've read and played around with. I see where you're coming from, but I know myself far too well to allow myself to purchase the product.

Already got one, it's quite fun. Nintendoland keeps me entertained whenever I feel the need for a couple of fast paced mini-games (and some great games to play with friends). I enjoy New Super Mario Bros. U so far. It's not the best game that's for sure, but it is still quite fun. I'm looking forward to games like Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, Bayonetta 2, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, The Wonderful 101, and all the other great games that I know will be coming from first party, and hope to be coming from third party. So far I think it was worth the money, though I would probably hold off until 2013 since that's when all the good games will be coming out.

Nope. I think my pc and my brother's xbox will suffice my gaming needs. I would rather put the $350 I would spend on the Wii U on a new cpu anyways.

Nope, I'm a member of the PC gaming master race, why would I need this device? xD
Because most Wii U games won't be available on the PC?

OT: hopefully for christmas
True but we have League of Legends, who needs anything else :3
As a DOTA 2 fan, I believe I am legally required to have a duel to the death with you now. We shall meet with pistols at dawn.

OT: I got mine at as a Day 1 purchase. I LOVE it. Sure, it has some flaws (connecting to the internet, the disastrous firmware update that could have turned the thing into a $350 brick) but I've had way too much fun on it. I like the so called "gimmick" the gamepad brings and it is nice to see some interesting ideas like ZombiiU being put out there (though I truthfully didn't care too much for that game).

Four words: Motion-Tracker Gamepad. If I'm ever getting one, it's because of Aliens:Colonial Marines.

I plan on buying one with my next tax return, I think. I really enjoy first party Nintendo games so I know I'll enjoy it.
Plus, you know, Smash Bros will eventually come out.

Also, just a mini-rant here because the OP's post reminded me of this:
I HATE it when people complain that New Super Mario Bros looks like the old ones. I remember back when the first NSMB came out for DS and pretty much everyone screamed at Nintendo 'OMG ITS AN OLD SCHOOL MARIO GAME PLEASE MAKE MORE OF THESE'. Then they made the one for Wii and everyone said 'OMG ITS AN OLD SCHOOL MARIO GAME PLEASE NINTENDO DO THAT AGAIN WE LOVE YOU'.

Then they made one for the 3DS and the Wii U and everyone said 'WHAT IS THIS SHIT NINTENDO? THIS IS JUST THE SAME AS THE OLD MARIO GAMES WHERE IS THE INNOVATION?!?!?'.

I'm probably gonna buy one eventually, but I'm pretty broke right now. I'm either gonna wait until I have a stable job or the price drops. Or both.

The first time I bought the launch version of a console was PS3, and I've regretted that for a long time, envying all my friends who have giant Hard drives and no enormously loud fans that go into overdrive when I play games for too long. After hearing all about the crazy crap going on with the Wii U, I've decided I'll be waiting until they release V2.

No since I am distrustful with Nintendo as I have doubts if they can keep pumping out non casual and 1st or 3rd party games throughtout the year. I am not going to let them leave me in the dust again like they did with the Wii.

Even if they did provide good games, it's still a risk seeing how I cannot see into the futures of release games other than previews of upcoming games. In another word, I am not risking my cash into buying it base on wishing thinking or what if they do better this year.

I highly doubt they can change their ways seeing how they are still behind with online features (that whole non adult contend during the time as oppose to simply using the parental system).

Beside these days, if I want to play proper good games (the Wii is the only current console I own), if they made a PC version then I will get it for the PC.
