i like most of the resident evil games but im getting annoyed that all the bad guys seem to be are poor people with bugs in them, for any of you who played all of the resident evils you should of seen a huge diffrence in the story lines.
and i think the resident evil guys ran out of ideas when they wanted to kill of the most inportant guy in the resi series. i mean he has to use the aid of the weird bug things, when if you played the first game he had all the power of the g-virus, for any of you who want to see the resi 5 ending heres the link.

I like the smarter enemies that they've been using. Resident Evil has never scared me outside of a jump scare every once and a while, but I found RE:4 more intense than any other game I'd played before then. RE:5 is that but more and I loved the demo.

I love the Resident Evil series, but 4 and 5 are a lot more fun for me to play. Besides, judging from the sales, I don't think Capcom will go back to the way they were.

resident evil 1 to 3 were hardcore zombie killing games with a good story (well maybe not 3) but as soon as 4 came out they werent zombies anymore they were weird bugs that lived inside people, in my opinion its not resident evil, they should of called it somthing else like, i dunno, resident bugs or something stupid like that. (Btw dont get me wrong i did enjoy resi 4)

why do people say that dead space and RE4 and 5 are scary? the games are more actiony than any real "horror" game. the new "things" are good if you want an actiony game but useless if you want a horror game.

They take away much of the shlock-horror and replace it with something a little more disturbing. And more importantly, the make for better games. I'm not missing the ol' brain munchers one bit.

I thought the zombies were a lot more creepy than most of the other enemies in RE, but some of the new ones are a lot more scary. Either way I vote they should bring zombies back ASAP!

As long as they keep to the so-bad-its-good writing, then its OK with me.

Why can't we have both?
Las Plagas and T / G Virus victims shuffling about, more to the point, I want to see a fight between El Gigante and a Tyrant. It even raises the (horrifying yet awesome) prospect of a T-Virus infected Plaga, or a Plagas infected Zombie... eep.

A more appropriate title for this thread would have been "RIP Resident Evil Zombies"

I miss the Zombies. I would have preferred 4 & 5 as a new franchise all together, I see no reason outside of the T virus (which could have been easily substituted)and redundant reoccurring characters for RE 4 and 5 to even be Resident evil games in the first place.

In all honesty I preferred Code Veronica to RE 4, just because I felt that RE4 went off the reservation and I couldn't enjoy it as a "Resident evil" game anymore. I found RE 4 was a better standalone game, which is why I feel it should have ditched the grammatically confusing zombie associated franchise name and tried to be something new.

With a few tweaks to the story line RE 4 as an original game could have been...well...the next resident evil.

Resident Evil 0, right? In the train? If so, I remember that! Unfortunately, Rebecca is the not the master of unlocking, Jill is.

I don't have anything more to add...just wanted to exercise my memory.

I wish they would have both in one RE game. Sounds stupid, but if they can do it right, it'll be pretty freakin sweet. But, the old zombies are way better than the new because the bosses were much more epic feeling and actually scared the hell out of you.

The writing needs to take several steps down before I start enjoying how bad it is. If they can find whoever wrote Full Life Consequences, I'll consider actually paying for one of these games. Until then, I stick my head down the hall and ask if the 360 isn't being used.
