Yup. Already pre-ordered it. Its weird though, when I played the demo, it felt like "Jade Empire" to me... Did anyone else feel/notice that?

Pre-ordered. And as many have said in this thread: Bioware is not for everyone. I personally love their games. I just hope that Bioware makes better DLC for the game than for DA:O. Most of them just sucked...

Preordered it yesterday, hopefully it will get here in time. I usually don't buy games at full price unless iv'e seen some reviews and looked at some gameplay, but since i'm dying to play DA2 and the only way to get any game around here without paying twice what you should is to order it online, I just went ahead and bought it. Also, I trust Bioware to make a quality game.

I went through the same thing as OP, except the result was completely opposite. O love DA: Origins, i just finished Awakening an hour ago (and i'll be playing it as soon as i'm done browsing teh webs). I downloaded the Demo through steam today, and despite all the previews (and PC Gamer UK's Review) i was surprised how much more better it is. Better facial animation, extremely fun combat (even i have to admit the failings in DA: Origins combat), and good changes to dialogue. I'll be buying it as soon as i get back to civilization (Currently in Kenya. If it appears here anytime soon, it will be more expensive than in Sweden).

I loved Dragon Age: Origins. (I refuse to call it DAO, it just looks silly)

So yeah I likely will be buying Dragon Age 2.

Well if I can afford it I will be anyway...

I'm probably going to get it, but I have to try to get through Origins first. I love the game, but Origins' gameplay is a little too strategic for me. I tried the demo for DA 2 and really liked the new gameplay. Seems like you could play it on easy as a brawler or on hard as a strategy type game.

Anyways, I'm going to and try to get through Origins. Hopefully with a minimum of dying...

Yes, yes I will.

I haven't bought or played a new game in months and I need my fix bad. I know it'll suffer from the same problems that ME2 and DAO had, but dammit, I wanna play a new game. Atleast the first playthrough will be great.

Probably not, I only tried mass effect, and that wasn't really fun, I'm more into the Bethesda/Obsidian RPG games like fallout and oblivion, so no, I'll probably buy Skyrim instead.

Yes, but maybe a while later when it's on sale and all that. I loved the first one, but I'm just not impressed with how the sequel is looking. -shrug-

One day, probably, unless the reviews manage to reasonably convince me of its superior qualities to what the demo offered. I also found DAO a serious disappointment. Everyone was wary of it, but I was all hyped up. Then it proved to be a fairly average example of what it could have been, but everyone is in love with it. I don't take the DA-team very seriously. It's like a webcomic series. It may be solid work and all, but hardly visionary.

I played the PC demo and I gotta say, I wasn't really moved by it. It was allright but I don't see myself getting it anytime soon.

I replied "No", but I guess I should amend that to "No, I don't think so."

I am a Bioware fan, but not one of the hardcore. I loved KOTOR, Mass Effect and Jade Empire, and to a lesser degree I liked Neverwinter Nights.

Dragon Age just didn't do it for me. The setting, the characters, the unimpressive visuals - it felt like retreading old ground, a step backwards. Now I've got nothing against that per se, but it just felt stale.

Also, the much-lauded dialogue and voice-acting - really? I found a lot of the voicework grating after a while. Each new character, I felt like I knew exactly how they would speak and how they would react to my hero, despite the supposed multitude of possible responses.

Part of the problem might have been that I anticipated Dragon Age too much and it just couldn't live up to my expectations, but I've failed to play the game through more than once - it's the only Bioware RPG I can say that about.
