I'm not voting, as I'm unsure as of yet. I'm hoping to get ahold of one at PAX East in a couple weeks so I can see if the 3D really is that mindblowing, and I'm waiting until I see better games on it before I give it a definite "yes".

Only because my main DS is a busted doorstop right now, and I have a feeling something awesome will be made for it. (Metroid 3D anyone?)

As for the 3D, I may just turn it off.

I plan to buy one as soon as Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney is released in America or there are at least enough games to make that kind of money worthwhile to spend. So it may take a while for the price to drop and the amount of interesting games to rise.

Absolutely on launch day. My DS is broken, so I need something to play all of my DS games on, plus the Virtual Console is going to be awesome (and I suspect we're going to end up with a Wii style situation where the Virtual Console is the best part). 3D will stay off most of the time, mostly for battery life and processing power.

I would post the game lineup again, but I don't think that's necessary. It can be summarized in a small, manageable "HOLY FUCK THAT'S AWESOME".

Know my shoddy timing an console buying habits, I'll wait. And I'll probably buy it just as the 4DS or whatever comes next is coming out.
On that note, guess who just bought a DSi? :D

I have preordered it. Not much in the way of launch titles that I want but I rather have the console now and get the games I want later on, than trying to get the game and console when the games I want are released.

Well, I'm more than likely going to wait for the better, sexier version that will probably show up a year and a half from now. Plus that seems to be a trend for me. Got the Gameboy Advance SP(before this I had a Gameboy Color, so I don't know if I can count that. Though technically it was a 2nd version of the Gameboy so...), the Nintendo DS Lite, so I might as well get the second version of the 3DS. And knowing Nintendo, this will coincide with the 3rd version release of Pokemon Black and White, so thats a bonus.

Also, while I'm sure the games for the 3DS will be good, I'm not too sold on the whole 3D thing since I can't really see in 3D anyway.

No, I dont htink so. And even if I do, it will be when the 3DS is old. I still have my brain age DS Lite package.

3DS bothers me, I dont know why, I just dont like it. Probably cause of the gimmicky trick its used as at the theatres. That and anything in a handheld that you'll be holding that close to you cant be healthy and must have crappy 3d Effects.

I'd certainly like one, but considering the only Game Boy/DS games I've played in the last decade are all Pokemon or Golden Sun, I don't really see the point for myself.

If I have the money to, I eventually will. I try keep up with the handhelds, and since I've been with Nintendo since the big gray brick, I will keep on buying what they dish out.

I want to wait. The only reason I would get one is for Pokemon and the re-releases of the N64 games (Ocarina and Star Fox...well, the star fox one looks like a re-release anyway).

As I've said elsewhere, I'm also waiting to see when/ if they release the next version of the 3DS. The intervening time between the release the DS and the DSlite...well...ok, it took about a year-and-a-half or, 2 years but still! Those years passed quickly...Maybe I'll get one anyway, I don't freaking know. I'm too indecisive to commit.
Even though Pokemon Black and White are for DS, I guess you mean you're foretelling that not long after Nintendo will release another version that is for the 3DS?

Well with how long it will be before I could afford a 3DS, the next version of it will most likely be out already. Before I could afford a DS, the DS Lite came out and that is when I got a crimson DS Lite and a copy of........Pokemon Diamond.

When I get White in a few days, that will make more than half my DS collection, Pokemon games. Diamond, Pearl, Heart Gold, and White.

Looks pretty cool, but I'm too old to play on handhelds so nope.

Right now? Too expensive. I'll wait a while. A long while.

Bloody government and their car insurance scam...

I will buy one later, but there's no real pressure to buy one now.

I want to know if they fixed the problem with the system's hinges.

Those things were disgustingly fragile and broke in six months on my DSLite.

I already have a DS, and I rarely play games on it as it is. I doubt that a more expensive one would change that.
