Ever since it's been announced that the game is finally coming out it's the center of most discussions. I talked about it with a friend, and he asked me that question, to which I replied "Always bet on Duke!". He'll get it too for the sheer epicness of something coming back after 12 years. What will you do?

Edit: Piracy is not an option and will not be accepted by this site ~Mod

Edited to remove the pole pole :). Also the 3rd option is to acknowledge LordKat and his opinion.

No, I will have Halo: Reach, Fallout: New Vegas, and Portal 2 to name a few. I don't need to bet on Duke when I can bet on super soldiers, post-apocalyptic couriers, and test subjects.

Maybe. Even if it IS legendary vaporware it still will have gameplay. Like, as in most other games.

I'll wait to see if that's any good.

I would only buy it if Yahtzee gave it some sort of epic praise. And I'm not trying to say that I'm some mindless wallet that buys what people say is good, (If you know Yahtzee at all, you know that he praises almost nothing, let alone epic praise) I'm trying to demonstrate the level of awesome this game would need to achieve (and the futility of trying to garner that achievement) in order to get me to care about it.

So, I voted 'No.'

I knew we'll get to the Yahtzee point :). But I think that the game is epic by itself, regardless of how good it is, just the fact that it still evokes a lot of opinions and survived that long is enough for me. And do you remember what he said in "Battlefield: Bad Company 2" - "Duke Nukem, all is forgiven... I'll wait as long as you want me to, just please let me play another shooter where I can have more weapons than eyeballs...". That's also good enough for me :).

Sure, why not. It should be good. I mean, after 12 fucking years it should be.

And it's pretty crazy just the story behind it. That's a long time to be in development and I don't care if it's crap or not it would just be nice to have in a collection, you know?

Of course i'll be getting it. I had Duke Nukem 64 and Duke Nukem Zero Hour for the Nintendo 64 and Land of the Babes for the PS1. And now he's sneaking onto next gen consoles in the most devious (if unintentional) marketing ploy ever? You can absolutely bet i'll be playing Duke Nukem Forever.

Hail to the God-damn King, baby.

No, I'm waiting for Gearbox to get back to work and release Borderlands 2 instead. In the mean time my monies will probably be invested in Portal 2 and any other of a number of splendid titles that haven't gone stale over the last decade.

I'll probably rent it or borrow it from a friend if one of them gets it. If I like it, I'll buy it.

No.

I already have way too much testosterone than I know what to do with.
And yet your avatar is a kitten?

OT: I've waited too long, and now I'm hurt and jaded. It would have to be pretty epic to earn my forgiveness.
