Depends. If it stays in the spirit of Duke Nukem (over the top, humorous), sure, I'll wait for the price to drop.
But if ANY of the following terms are brought up between now and release:
- New, mature, sreious Duke Nukem
- Cover System
- Only two weapons
- Story (and they're taking it seriously)
- RPG Elements (I'm willing to be lenient on this, however)
- Realistic
- DLC (Personal bias here)

if ANY of these are mentioned... KILL IT WITH FIRE!

Nope. I don't like shooters, Duke Nukem, or pornography disguised as a game.

I would only buy it if Yahtzee gave it some sort of epic praise. And I'm not trying to say that I'm some mindless wallet that buys what people say is good, (If you know Yahtzee at all, you know that he praises almost nothing, let alone epic praise) I'm trying to demonstrate the level of awesome this game would need to achieve (and the futility of trying to garner that achievement) in order to get me to care about it.

So, I voted 'No.'
Yeah, probably this. I have this same rule with Halo: Reach. The first comment here rubbed me up the wrong way:

So the same for the duke

The game reminds me of the cathedral in Pisa. My dad said to me: "This cathedral was built for over 100 years by more than 3 generations of architects. What does get that kind of attention today?". Now when I think about it, in game development years, Duke Nukem Forever might just be that sort of thing, changing studios and publishers, game engines and concepts, for 12 years and more (still in development) this might be the single significant thing of our time, that we'll tell our *thick french accent* children or grand children and by buying it and playing it I'll be able to say: I was a part of that. Just like I went to see the cathedral in Pisa, I was part of the Duke Nukem legacy.

I probably will. Not that I'm necessarily a fan of the genre or the series - although I admit I had fun with Duke Nukem 3D back in the day, I doubt it'll appeal to my sense of humour now that I'm notionally an adult. No, I just want to see if anything half way interesting can come out of all the years of stupidity. Call it curiosity.

I too bet on Duke when possible mostly because one of the first games I ever played was the old side scroller Duke Nukem game. I think that if I have the money I will but otherwise I'll just borrow it from my brother.

Sorry to say but its already been reported that DLC will be in the game. And I agree that DLC is one of those things that is plaguing this industry.

No. I don't know anything about Duke Nukem except that my friend had a shitty one on the N64 that he made me play for hours with him.

I don't think I could really have this in my collection and still respect myself as an adult.
Who needs self-respect when you can have the Duke?

On topic: Unless it's on the same level as shovelware, hell yes I will get it. Heck, I'll probably get it even if it bombs just so that I can say I own Duke Nukem Forever. On the other hand, Gearbox are making it, so there's probably going to be a whole lot of little bugs and issues that the fans of the game will have to point out repeatedly on the forums until they finally get off their asses and patch it.

if the reviews show that it's pretty good, yeah I just might actually
assuming I have any money leftover after Halo Reach

I probably will. Actually haven't played any Duke games, but I do like Borderlands, so I trust Gearbox. Won't get it straight away, there's better games... But sooner or later, I shall own it.

I tried to pre-order it a couple of days ago, but it looks like retailers have yet to catch up on the news.
