It doesn't interest me for the same reason I don't enjoy torture movies. I don't get any joy out of seeing innocent defenseless people brutally murdered. If that's your thing that's fine but I'll save my money for something else. I don't mind violent games, but the pleading and crying of helpless people doesn't do anything for me.

Personally, I think edginess is the second-easiest thing in the world to pull off, right after gratuitous sex-appeal. It takes a lot more skill (and attracts a lot more of my attention) to handle it with intelligence and subtlety (e.g. Gus Van Sant's Elephant is a monotonous, poignant, disturbingly even-sided depiction of spree-killing, and one of my favorite movies).

So far, nothing indicates that Hatred is making even a token effort in that direction (in fact, it seems to pride itself on being as brain-stimulating as a lobotomy). So no, I'm not interested.

Yes, it looks fun.

From the few seconds of gameplay shown, it looks like it has destructible environments, free roam and I'm a sucker for top down shooters. It looks cheesy and ridiculous and the fact that its existence annoys people makes the purchase so much sweeter.

It looks like it's selling itself on it's personality than any kind of interesting gameplay, even the recent Saints Row games, which are mostly based on personality than quality of gameplay, are far more interesting than this due to how silly those could get. This just looks like regular people trying to make a parody of an emo death kid's wet dream, and failed so hard it came all the way around and became generic and serious again.

If I want a top down shooter I'll just play Alien Shooter 2 Reloaded again. It has plasma cannons and swarms of evil alien cyborgs. What do you have, Hatred?

Yeah that's what I thought...

Mm, no.
Just seems a bit too intense for me.
I'm not usually a lightweight when it comes too blood this seems pretty dark, yeah, in a angsty teenager sort of way but still pretty dark.

I only try it if it becomae a "Sh*t is about to get real" type of game.
We are talking about shocking/taboo gameplay, but I don't see it....
Now, if the developers release a trailer showing the gothic dude shooting a baby inside a baby Cot while crying for help.....well sh*t, I would be f*cking curious to see what other sh*t the player can do without boundaries.
I mean I already see in Punisher X-max special do this in a nursery hospital and nobody talking about. Why not in Videogames?

Sad to see the game being so harshly judged purely on a TRAILER, which is like judging a movie based on a poster. If the gameplay is fun/engaging/etc then what's wrong with it? Even the most poorly-narrated games have got by on gameplay alone. This one may even end up having some kind of dark twist on it.

I don't have particularly high hopes for this one but I'll hold judgment till the game is actually released.

Damn, I would have, but I hate top-down shooters.

If it was third person, sure.

Because anything getting this much shit thrown at it is usually worth a look.

That kinda reminds me when I was playing ZombiU and entered into the kindergarten building, as the voice in the radio said "some people entered there with a bunch of children... nobody came out". One part of me just was thinking "please, Ubisoft, don't go there. Don't throw me freaking zombie toddlers or zombie babies!" And other part of me was thinking what a wasted opportunity would be if they weren't there.

There was none. Still, that part was actually creepy.

It looks like the only claim to fame is killing civilians, which will obviously garner them plenty of views, but that premise is dull as shit... might as well be paper bags that you fight.
The other part of course is being very disturbing, the sort of shit that will keep me up at night, which has never been a state I look for in my entertainment.

No. About all it seems to have going for it is an attempt to be "edgy" - and that simply isn't enough.

I will not for 3 reasons.

1. The gameplay looks terrible.
2. It's attempt to be edgy and teenage angst is just eye rolling.
3. The subject matter is absolutely vile.

If it was a film nobody would bat an eye.
Just because its not for you or me, doesn't mean nobody will like it. And its for those people that the game should be made.

As for the poll question, no I won't. It doesn't look very fun to me. If it turns out to be the greatest thing ever though, which it probably won't, I'll definitely buy it.

This game is gonna get an AO rating. Probably won't help its chances of being sold... anywhere... Still, I'll give it a spin.

I don't know yet, the trailer sure looked awful, but maybe it will surprise everyone. Maybe everything we saw in the trailer is some big ironic joke and they're saving the punch line for later? At any rate, I doubt this game could replace Fallout 3 as my favorite murder simulator. After wiping out settlements by shooting garden gnomes at people, how can I go back to using guns?

Just to put this video here, because it is an important update for the game:

You know what? We really need a game which a happy goth dude randomly spreed love and happyness by shoving pizza and put make up to unhappy people.
A mod perhaps for the game?
His enemies will be the original developers of the game. They will yell at him:
"You aren't suppose to act like that!!!"
"Please! You must be honest with yourself and kill a baby for crying out loud!"
"Really? You feed them pizza?"
"I told you these ponies aren't good for your health..."

Sold. Make this game instead!

Definitely not. I'm not really a fan of the isometric view to begin with and the whole "I'm so edgy" vibe is really offputting.

Overall, it just looks bad.

I'm in the "this has to be a parody". I mean, did you hear the dudes voice. Holy crap, that was so awesomely "I AM GRIMDARK!" I kinds lost it. Plus what the hilarious voice is saying...sweet crap, this is way too funny. Add in the executions and it's pretty much trying to pull and Colbert-style Spec-ops kind of commentary on games where mass murder is the main or only answer. I mean, functionally, what's the difference between blasting helpless civilians here and slaughtering massively outclassed enemies that can't hurt you in other games? So if it comes up on steam for like 5, maybe 10 bucks, sure, why the hell not, I'll bite just to see if the comedy runs
