The demo was nice...

Aaand that's really all I can say at the moment. If I should ever have the interest, the pocket change, and a position within walking distance of the nearest Best Buy/Gamestoip/etc., I'll probably end up giving it a look.

Nope, I either want to play a game or sit back and watch a movie. I never want to do both at the same time.
exactly my thoughts

if you ask me, this is why video games should quit trying to be like movies.

games are games for a reason.

If I had a PS3, I totally would. It's funny how people constantly get mad at games and say that they're too generic and that they ripped off other games, but when a genuinely original game like this comes out, everyone bashes it. Make up your minds, people!

Not a chance. Even if I had a PS3, which I don't, and was interested in it, which I'm not, I still can't see it as something that I couldn't get a full experience out of in a single rental period.

Probably won't. Not because of the story-driven gameplay aspect, but because I don't like that genre of story/game.

It's a good idea but executed poorly. I've got a Simon Says toy, in case I ever feel like playing QTEs all day. You know, the thing they ripped off and claimed was their combat engine.

For what it's worth, I enjoyed Omikron. I hated Fahrenheit. It looks like Heavy Rain will be more of what I hate and less of what I enjoyed.

I adore cop shows, Silence of the Lambs type serial killer malarkey...

Even if the plot is hokey I'll still probably enjoy it, so it seems like the game was custom made for me, considering it's my favorite few things rolled into one:

No twitch-based gameplay, branching decision paths that mean more than "Hurr I'm Evil, or Hurr I'm a Saint", Hokey serial killer story, brooding atmosphere... All it could do to be better is be a period piece.

I'm waiting to see if it'll Match Mass Effect in terms of decision making, because so far ME2 is far and away my GoTY, even with GoW3 and the The Last Guardian on the horizon. I love being able to actually play a role in an RPG.

But as some people have stated, it seems like it's targeted at a certain audience, and if you're not in that audience I could see it being a mediocre experience. Eh, I dislike MW2 and Starcraft, and that doesn't mean they're bad games.

I have a friend who is buying it.
We both loved Indigo Prophecy, (I can't remember the name of it overseas sadly) so he is buying it, and I will go over to his house to watch him play then shout "HOLY FUCK", "WOAH", and "WHAT THE FUCK, WHAT THE FUCK, WHAT THE FUCK" constantly.

The demo was interesting, although it didn't convince me enough to buy the game on release. However I might get it when it ends up in the bargin bin.

Probably not, seems too gimmicky for me.

AvP looks much better.
Too bad AvP is a giant pile of ass and broke. Which I new it would be. Every demo I'd seen of it looked awkward and half assed.

Nope, not intrested.

Note: 2 Heavy Rain threads next to each other, is this going to result in the ME2/CoD6 thread fest again?
