YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!

Sorry.

Morrowind is my favourite game of all time. Oblivion was OK.

But I'm super stoked. Most anticipated game for me.

Wasn't Fallout New Vegas made by Obsidian and published by Bethesda? Whereas Fallout 3 was made by Bethesda? (Not entirely sure myself)

I never had any major game breaking bugs with Morrowind, Oblivion or Fallout 3, but Fallout New Vegas I just don't feel like playing because it's as though it was designed to contain a lot of bugs.

Though I know this isn't really the case, problem with big games is that it's very hard to get rid of a lot of bugs. No matter how much you playtest it.

Either way, I've waited for the new TES game since Oblivion. I know it most likely won't happen, but a bit of online play would be awesome. Even if it's just 2 player CO-OP. Oh and Horseback archery.

i find myself compelled to think i will not buy this game, not untill a few years have passed and it will reach the status of "Buggy" and not "broken"
A few years? Really? I can understand playing it safe and waiting a month or two for official/community patches, but years?

OT: I will be buying it as soon as humanly possible for the PC.
Ok, i might be exagerating a little over there, but i dont want a broken game.

I don't think you actually have done your research. FO 1, 2 and New Vegas were neither unfinishable, broken, or programmed by Bethesda. FO 3 was certainly a finishable game, and was the only installment in the Fallout franchise that Bethesda made.
the research i made was among the series of "The Elder Scrolls"

thats what i meant for research, i played FO1 and 2 and was amazed by the games, wich were made by black isle

FO 3 WAS a buggy mess, and it had some that would make the game unfinishable

New Vegas is still in the same engine made by Bethesda, so i would think it "transfered" the issues with said engine thats why i put the blame in Bethesda (a very personal opinion)
those are my 2 cents :D

If the games buggy I'll just save a bunch. I have a lot of faith in Bethesda, esp since TES5 is going to be on a new engine, and because it's fucking elder scrolls.

Sorry, but you didn't specify whether you were talking about FO or TES. My bad.

What bugs in FO3 were game breaking?

NV was not broken, per se, and Bethesda is the one responsible for the all encompassing patch, which leads me to believe that they can handle bugs. I'd also like to point out that Skyrim will be using a new engine, again.

TES 1 and 2 were released a fair time ago, and Morrowind and Oblivion are fine, bug wise.

Are you kidding me? I'm halfway tempted to break into Bethesda studios right now and steal the damn thing.
Steal an unfinished game? Have fun :p

I will buy it at launch if I have the money. Tight on personal finances and all...but I fully anticipate getting it.

Why do you add extra exclamation or question marks in your sentences? It makes me think you're yelling at me or something.

It makes me feel hurt.

:'<

But yeah, totally buying Skyrim the moment it's released.

well, out of the top of my head, graphic glitches where everything would turn as if you were looking trough a broken cristal and the only way of getting rid of it is either taking an old save (regularly 1 or 2 hours before) or starting a new game, glitched saves, going trough the wasteland (walking) without entering any buildings and thus not saving the game and fall in some place where the floor glitched and made you die in a void, things like that

NV was one of the most broken games, i dont know if you missed the drama of all the savefiles that didnt saved properly and actually had to start from the beggining of the game (this is for PC of course, but i dont remember if it was the case also in consoles) and bethesda fixing it 2 or 3 weeks after launch is not what i would consider a good handling of bugs

and for the new engine, ok, i´m just going to state this, it is my understading that the old engine was a buggy mess and years later they cant seem to patch it up, now they make a new one call me crazy but i wouldnt bet that its a piece of gold that will take all the problems and make them go away

[sub]Hentai Master, The Master Of Hentai YIELD before my migthy knowledge on all things hentai related, if it´s Hentai, i know about it, i´m a walking encyclopedia of Hentai, HAHAHAHA[/sub]

I'm just gonna wait for reviews. I have only ever preordered 2 or 3 games and I have been disappointed with the reviews for at least one of them.

Ho no. I might get a price plummeted version. I play my RPGs for good characters, plot, and dialogue. Oblivion didn't deliver any to my satisfaction. That said, Fallout 3 did a little better - I'm not writing it off, Oblivion was an impressive game in many regards, just not in the regards that impress me - if they do better it'll be worth my time.

Oblivion was next to perfect, I mean story was a failure but as a game I can't see any other game I've had anywhere near as much fun with this gen so another completely new game, even if it was exactly the same game but with just another couple hundred hours of new content then I would still go out and buy it on launch and probably praise it as one of the best games ever.
Skyrim has so much potential, if they fix everything wrong with Oblivion, which as gamers we have no reason to demand such a thing, then there is no reason why people wouldnt be excited even without any info

It's coming out in a year. November of 2011, right? Why don't you wait a while before making this kind of thread?

On topic, I don't know. I'd like to play Oblivion first and see if I like that.
Because we are addicted to their games and need to get something to fill the void until it comes out. I'll take a thread on it! :D

Oh yes, I love their games. Given how much they do in them, it's hard to avoid some bugs but I've rarely run into any really bad ones. I was hoping they were going to do the Black Marsh next but I'll happily play in Skyrim. I can't wait to see what they are going to do this time! *happy dance*

I need that game, like, yesterday.
