Not. A. Chance. I've lost all interest in that franchise and I'm still determined not to buy anything with EA's name on it.

EDIT: Besides, I'm fairly certain they're only making it to wring more money out of the franchise anyway.

Probably not. 1. EA. 2. ME3. 3. The choices were basically half the reason I enjoyed the games, and now that I know they probably won't be delivered on, not really interested.

Even though the ending was a mess, Mass Effect as a series was groundbreaking in so many ways and games were good based on so many merits that I have no second thoughts about trying out next Mass Effect game. I know what I would like it to be, but BioWare would have to screw things up far worse than Deus Ex Machina ending for me to totally skip it.

Well I basically know nothing about it, and I generally don't base my decisions on nothing.

So it's a wait and see I guess. I suppose I am a bit, I don't know, disillusioned (dunno if that's the right word but whatever) with the whole thing though and the setting has become less interesting. But it could still be good. I do wonder where they'll go with this one.

Well, there you have it I guess.

In a second every day of the week and twice on Thursday.

I've loved all 3 Mass Effect games with all my heart.

I share none of the standard anal pain about 3 or any of the hatred towards BioWare, so I'll be getting whatever the next Mass Effect is day 1.

Unless the trailers make it look like lame cash in. Which they probably will.

So no, I guess.

No, because its over. Anything at this point is just milking the franchise. They need to go make some new IP before I give them any more money.

Yes, after all its a brand new set of characters and story. I guess, for me, it does depend on the story they chose to tell.

I loved the first 3 so unless something really changes with the next one, I'm definitely going to play the heck out of it.

Yup. I enjoyed all three of the previous games, so I'm definitely interested in continuing in the series. Not sure exactly what form it will take, but unless I here some pretty bad things after its release (which I will take with a grain of salt given the general level of resentment felt toward the series), I'll probably play it.

Of course, as much as people complain about the last half hour of the game I never had any real issue with it, certainly not enough to abandon the entire series over.
Hell, I'm playing Dragon Age Inquisition after Dragon Age 2, the ending was nothing.

There's going to be a Mass Effect 4?! Then what was all the deal with ME3's ending?!
Oh would you stop thinking so linear?

Mass Effect: Vakarian, play as Garrus Vakarian in his C-Sec days.
Mass Effect: Pilgrimage, play as a Quarian starting their pilgrimage to help the fleet.
Mass Effect: First Contact, play as an Alliance during the First Contact war against the Turians.
Mass Effect: Rachni Wars, play as any Council species in the fight against the Rachni.
Mass Effect: Krogan Rebellion, play as a Krogan fighting the Council/As the council fighting the Krogan.
Mass Effect: STG, play a squad based stealth game revolving around a group of Salarian STG in their general being awesome, bonus points if Captain Kirrahe.
Mass Effect: Shadow Broker, play as Liara after becoming the Shadow Broker.
Mass Effect: Urdnot Wrex, play as Urdnot fuckin' Wrex before Mass Effect 1 when he's a mercenary.
Mass Effect: Specter, just be a specter trying to do something that isn't too similar to what Shepard did.

It doesn't need to be taking place after Mass Effect 3 to be Mass Effect 4, it just needs to be the fourth in the series.

BioWare is a shadow of it's former self, nearly the entire original team either quit or got let go, Mass Effect will never return to the good game it once was. I ain't buying anything from EA or any of it's companies anymore.

If it weren't for that one weird Fox 'news' report on it I would've never known the 1st one existed and, outside of hearing about the massive fan outrage on the 3rd's ending, the series has pretty much stayed off my radar since. So, there's gonna be a 4th? I've never had an EA game before and I don't plan on changing that.

I have to see a lot more to know if I'm going to be playing it - but odds seem good that (given it follows similar gameplay / story dynamics that Bioware with EA has put out the last several years) I will end up playing it, or at least starting to play it.

I'm not fundamentally against playing it, but it if looks like I won't like it then I won't.

I'm not sure about the timing of this question. Do you just want to know if some of us are okay with Bioware/EA these days or if most of us are still hating them and all they do on the basis of a few extremely regrettable choices? Or are you curious about what we think about another game being tacked on to a trilogy that was supposed to be contained within itself?

That's the point I'm skeptical about. I'm really curious to see how and if they can make an additional ME game that is solid and enjoyable without the character and story elements that made the trilogy a favorite and yet still in the same universe.

I've loved all three games (I even liked the ending of 3). This would probably be one of the few games I would actually pre-order (provided it's still Mass Effect and they don't try something radically different).

Mass Effect, even with its missteps, is one of my favorite gaming series thus far, and I would like to get ME4.

But Bioware burned pretty much all of my respect for their abilities with DA2, TOR, and ME3. I just don't think (and this is a sentence that 5 years ago I couldn't even begin to fathom) that they can deliver a product at an acceptable level of quality. If the reviews come in glowing and people I know and trust play it and like it, I might be willing to pick it up on a Steam sale (except not really cuz Origin, lulz), but I wouldn't ever touch it for full price.
