Well considering I still look at the BSN as a social experiment to see what BW is listening to and how well they listen or don't listen to their customers right now it's a might because I want to see what they'll do how well or not they'll listen to our feedbacks, wants, and dislikes. They still need to prove to me it's worth getting.

I may, but it highly depends on what other information they put out on it. If it ends up going in a similar direction to, say, Dragon Age: Inquisition, but with a smaller, more personal story, where you can choose your race and background, then I'm all for it.

For all their faults, I liked the other Mass Effects. Certain parts were disappointing, yes. Sometimes severely disappointing. But at the end of the day, they were fun and enjoyable. I just want this next one to go in a different direction than galactic cataclysm and let you play as something other than a fucking human. The aliens are so cool in this universe, it'd be a crime to not let you have the chance to play as one of them. There's just so much potential there!

Unless it turns out to be a spin-off RTS or something at the last minute, I'll be looking into it.
But you gotta admit, Halo Wars was still a fun game. (Only thing I can think of that was part of a franchise which became an RTS)

Yeah, I think I will. But only if they are finally done with Shepards story. It does not need any more details.

If it is a prequel I probably will. If it a spin off of another character's story before meeting Shepard, unlikely unless its really good. If its Post-Reaper Invasion no, definitely not.

I think a prequel playing as the Prothean's is the best route to go. Even though you know what happens in the end you don't know about all the little things between the start and the end.

If its playing as another squad mate it could go either way. I don't think it'd be too good because a lot of those characters already have pretty defined pasts so there wouldn't be much room for change imo, or at least to the point where you can have the same experience as the original trilogy (Yes I suppose we may have to start referring to Mass Effect the same way we refer to star wars)

Post-Reaper Invasion... Eh, what would you do? There's too much differentiation between the endings to actually make it playable, let alone written. You'd probably need 3 different games depending on the ending. Plus all the smaller things that happened throughout each games would need to be taken into account. Aside from that, in the words of Yahtzee "What do you do once you threaten to destroy every living thing in the galaxy? Threaten to destroy every living thing in the galaxy and also their cat?"

Not anywhere in the near future, I haven't played Mass Effect 1-3. Mass Effect looks okay, I want to play it eventually but I have so many better titles I want to play first it may be a year or two before I get around to it. Not to mention the xbox is currently in the living room and I don't even like to touch that (it's very complicated).

Unless it looks way better and has nothing to do with the storyline of the previous ones I may consider it.

I voted Fuck Yes, but my feeling is not really so much Fuck Yes, as that I usually end up getting most major games anyway, even if its only for 5 pounds a year later just to see what they did with it. So I'm sure I will play this, having loved 1 and 2, and I suspect it will be better than 3 whatever happens. Depending on what the reviews and community reaction is like I may get it sooner.

I loved Mass Effect 3 so fuck yeah, I'll be playing Mass Effect 4. 3 may have been the weakest game in the series for me, but that doesn't mean I have to hate it. So yeah... I'll give them a chance. Why not?

If BioWare can prove that it's a good game, with a good story and narrative, and a combat system that hasn't completely been changed to Gears of War IN SPAAAACE, then perhaps. Basically, I'll let it come out and let other people bite the bullet first, then pick it up if it's actually good. BioWare doesn't get day one or pre-orders from me anymore.

maybe im not sure i will have to see how it is the series has really been going down hill, well it sort of ran along a ridge, then slid down the bank and to extend the metaphor if i may i am going to wait and see if it starts up the other side of the valley has reached a plateau or is going to fall of the cliff

Maybe, if its good. I loved ME1. My issues with 2 was it was too different. Did not play 3 since I did not beat 2. Will be easier to stomach the changes on a clean slate though, but when my Shepard gets extremely nerfed (Sentinel kicked ass BECAUSE it had a ton of cool things beyond shooting things, now I can only use one skill at a time..between like 2 or 3?)
it puts me off. I just hope if they do another trilogy or something, they dont change the game so radically mid series.

Fuck yes.
Mass Effect has been one of my favorite franchises of this generation so no way am not going to play it unless ofcourse it ends up being a console exclusive. It better come to the PC with truly next generation graphics and a great story and characters.

Yes, assuming it's not a direct sequel to the first trilogy. Shepard's story is over and done with, I want a new set of characters, a new protagonist, a new epic story. Having things carry over from game to game is nice on one hand, but also a ton of baggage on the other. And boy, is there a lot of baggage by this point. I very much enjoy the ME universe; it's a solid Sci-Fi setting that actually puts some thought into the actual workings of the futuristic technology (granted, less and less as the trilogy progressed, with the third game essentially being about Space Magic).

A genre shift might not be a bad thing either. You can do pretty much anything - go full on RPG, go full on shooter/action, go strategy/tactics, etc. But even if they stick to the existing formula, I wouldn't have a problem with that, as long as they can deliver on the narrative and the characters...

Lucky for you, Bioware stated that Shepard's story ended with ME3.

I don't believe that they have flip flopped on this detail:

I hate these filthy neutrals. With enemies you know where they stand, but neutrals? Who knows! It sickens me.

References aside, I think I'm done with Bioware's style of morality choices, so I'll probably pass on 4.

No, I have never ever liked Mass Effect. I tried the first one because a friend recommended it and it was cheap on Steam. I did not like it and I feel like I wasted my money for those 2 hours of time I managed to accumulate before I got incredibly bored and never tried it again. He told me that Mass Effect 2 was much better and I got that at a Steam sale. 80 minutes of boring where I swear 90% of that time was spent talking to people and not seeing anything that made me want to hear more or play more.

When I hear that the third one is the worst of the bunch from most people I can see plenty of reasons not to spend any money on the third game. The 4th game will hopefully pass me by, but all the time spent seeing 5 Mass Effect 3 threads a day makes me think that I won't be able to ignore the coming of what may or may not end up as the worst in the series.
