Might not be illegal, or even amoral to kill it the way they did. but by science those people are sick.

Is this the sequel to the dude who wanted to kill a bear, hollow it out, then murder his wife dressed as said bear?

Although there is nothing legally wrong and the horse didn't suffer it's still pretty fucked up.
That's basically the thing I wanted to say. I'd get her head examined.

Crazy person snip
I was with it at the beginning. This isn't illegal or even really immoral, but if you consider the intent and the execution, there is some kind of either raging, dangerous stupidity or just straight psychosis involved. ***** be nuts.

Were Han solo and Luke Skywalker being illegal when hiding in a tauntaun corpse? Though the woman is WAAAAAAAY weirder than solo was. He was all like: "let's help luke survive while I build a tent", and she's all like: "I want to feel how it is to be naked inside a horse's corpse."

She's way weird. Also why would you post the pictures on the internet? Crazy people like that belong in an asylum.

Is it odd? Yeah sure. I don't think we're going to start seeing school pictures start using "Timmy, Year 5, in a horse carcass" as a template.

Is there anything wrong with it? No. Can't even say I see any real reason to claim she's "Sick" other than the fact she's clearly not as squeamish as the ever-intellectual denizens of the escapist.

Hell, a good chunk of the post pubescent males here spend their entire lives trying to end up naked and inside of something else.

Also, Why is the escapist always a few weeks behind /b/?

Even though it hasn't been said yet this still feels late, but...

And I thought they smelled *pant* bad on the outside.

I fail to see how killing or torturing an animal could be grounds for imprisonment. It's not like animals are people like you and me.

As long as she named it Chucky, made a backstory for him, puked in a lung, and said "And I thought they smelled bad...on the outside" then she's fine.

Personally, it was dying, they shot it humanely. I do not see a problem here. I wouldn't want horse guts on my clothes, she might be into vore, who knows.

EDIT: DAMMIT THAT WAS MY EMPIRE JOKE....at least I got the family guy one....

Considering I work with and own horses and they are the some of the most intellegent and caring animals I have ever met I do not wish to witness some womans sick madness...But read it I will.

Edited to add: The fact they bought it to murder it with a rifle is disgusting....A horse on my yard got put down by being shot...It was a botched job and took 3 bullets to kill him. Heartbreaking. I have no more words...

Well morally it's pretty sick, but they didn't hurt anyone doing it.
A 32 year old horse wouldn't be going on for much longer anyway.

Still, sick people.
At 32, although old can still be of use. I treat a 42 year old ex racer. She's is retired but still full of beans.
I guess I am being over sensitive because I know what wonderful creatures they are and don't like to hear that they have basically been made a mockery of, even in death (this is my own opinion on this matter).

Animal corpse desecration however, is not.
Yeah. Taking a dead horse, boiling its skin and other connective tissues, then sweetening it and feeding it to your children, that's weird. Neither should be illegal though. Seriously? Who came up with the idea for Jello?

At this point in the thread, I think it's safe to say we're just...

...
...

Beating a dead horse.

She shot a dying horse and then just did some stuff, I really don't see what the problem is.

No, it's not animal abuse because the thing was already dead at which point animal abuse and other laws don't come into the equation. It actually kind of funny in a really dark way (especially the picture of her peaking out of the horse smiling). I figure we just consider this yet another instance of "oh Portland, you so crazy".

No Empire joke yet? Huh...
Probably because the girl already covered that one herself...

From the Seattle Weekly Blog said:
The reason for climbing inside the animal was later explained to deputies as Lottin's desire to "be one with the animal."

That and her love of Star Wars.

From the police report:

Lottin said in the movie Star Wars the character Han Solo cut open and animal with his light saber and placed Luke Skywalker inside the animal. This was due to Luke freezing to death in cold weather. Lottin said there was nothing religious about what she did and didn't intend to offend anyone.
