I figured that, what I meant is that I couldn't truly believe you were complaining about starting work at 7:00am. 7:00-3:00/3:30 (depending on whether or not you get a paid lunch) are actually very common work hours.

My job consists of getting mysterious phone calls and disappearing for a few minutes while there are reports of a mysterious masked vigilante in the area. Soooo... Delivery boy?

I had a temporary job at HobbyCraft up until last month. Now I'm just getting turned down for jobs xD

And so the search continues...

But I do end up doing chores around the house, because apparently it makes us more 'independant'. Which is fair enough, I guess...

I work full-time building a lovely new shopping centre for you lovely people to buy lovely things it
Do I notice a faint glimmer of sacrasm? :p
Maybe a touch :D

It is very lovely building, probably the most beautiful thing I've built but it won't be for long. People spoil buildings, especially big open spaces like I've got here. In a perfect world I'd finish building it then seal it up so no-one could spoil it
It wouldn't be a very useful building then. :p
Seriously though, if maintenance is done, then the place shouldn't be spoiled much. Besides, what do you care? It's not like you're making the place up by hand-carving every brick, bolt and nut. You're helping to build it and you're getting paid for it, but it's not like you're building a wonder of precision engineering that very few people could ever appreciate.

It's not just the use of building that spoils it, it's the physical presence of people that spoils the lines and space. Certain spaces need people for the building to work but not this one, it's always going to be at it's best when no one is around.

I care because no one will appreciate all the work and effort that has gone into the building and it is a wonder piece of engineering. By the time we're finished we will have built a 410,000sq ft building within a tolerance of 10mm, people should be forced to acknowledge my greatness before purchasing anything! :D

I work flying children around for "Cathy Rigby's Peter Pan" in Tourist Hell, Branson Missouri. Pay's decent, but we only get Mondays off because those pesky tourists seem to want to watch Cathy flying to-and-fro and hurling mylar glitter just about every day of the week. You'd be amazed at just how popular Thursday evenings are.

Ugh, and that damnable glitter gets into EVERYTHING. I've found it in my fridge, in my yard, in the shower, in shoes that I haven't even worn to work, under the battery in my cell phone . . .

I've got a fulltime job as a welder.
It's ok, not too much stress and the pay is good.

I am surprised at the results.

Anyway, I'm a full time software engineer or 'a dev' as it's colloquially known. Mostly C++ but when necessary Java, SQL and XML/XSD type stuff.
