You put Mines of Moria, but Siege of Mirkwood has been out for sometime now.
Also I'd say try LoTRO then try WoW, I would personally chose LoTRO as it feels more like my type of MMO (Don't know why), WoW is a very good MMO and really sets the bar high for other MMOs, but LoTRO is a still a great great game
