I think all the current current console controllers has flaws. The 360 's bad dpad. The wiimote selective sensing at time.[The wii controllers sometimes does the opposite of what you do.} the ps3 controllers shoulder bottons. The ps3 is my favorite. The 360 controller is good but i am scared to use the d pad during a fighting game. The wiimote is good when it decides to work perfectily.
Finally an honest answer. Thank you sir.

What about all the other controllers? Like the snes pad, orig nes. the 64?, atari joystick, keyboard mouse, game cube, power glove, genesis, bulky dreamcast thing, etc etc etc..
But out of what you listed the original Larger release Xbox controller wins hands down. That thing was god awful fat heavy and the black and white buttons were just >.<

However...The Robotic Operating Buddy (R.O.B.) however will always hold this title as grandmaster champion of all useless and horrible controlling interfaces. If are old enough to know what the hell im talking about, and lucky enough to have actually owned one.. *wipes a tear*..then yes.

But i do have to take a potshot here. There's alot of dissin the 64 controller. And im not sure why. ALl this yea you need 3 hands blah blah, no really you didn't though. it was either d-pad and buttons, or toggle and buttons, (unless either or was used for say..bringing up a map or inventory of some sort) I can't recall one game that required me using every button switch and pad frantic and spastically in order to do or control something in a game. Yes it looked silly, and the whole idea of it being designed with different holding positions for your hands was pretty dumb (yes that was the purpose of the claw look). But to me honestly it never really affected gameplay, and never ruined any game for me. So back off :D K thanks.

I gotta' say, no matter how much I hate the Playstation controllers they will never be as big a pain in the ass as the Game Cube controller. That thing was clunky, and stupid as shit.

My vote goes to OTHER, because fuck the Game Cube.
your more than entitled to your opinion but i must wonder why the hate?
although granted the sorry yellow nub that had the audacity to call its self a control stick was pretty sad
I felt it was, overall, a very poorly designed controller that lead to clunky games because of it. Add on top of that it had a very ugly design, and the aforementioned yellow nub, and you get stuck with a piece of crap.

It's not on the list and it's not current generation, but...
I never liked the original SNES controller; it just didn't feel right in my hands. Then again, I've got big hands, the sort actually big enough for the original XBox "Duke" controller. Similarly, Genesis controllers always felt right, and the Dreamcast controller was a work of art (and perfect if it were just maybe half an inch wider). These days, I think I'd have to give the 'boo' vote to PS3's SixAxis controller, the handles are too short and it's near-impossible to comfortably put both index and middle fingers on both sets of shoulder buttons.

Current gen: probably the wii-mote overall, although it is good for a very few games. I see a lot of hate in this thread for the current and original xbox controllers, but as a person with larger than average hands i've always found it to be the most comfortable. I do okay in general with any version of the dual shock, but my hand does see, to cramp up more over time with it.

It's a little outdated, but the original Intellivision controller was at first glance a way better idea than the standard joystick, but holy SHIT was it uncomfortable to play with, not that that ever stopped me even for a minute...

Sega Saturn
I played RE1 the other day (original one for saturn) and Yahtzee is right, it's like reversing a golf cart through a hedgemaze.
And when the fixed camera showed a close-up of Jill's bad-graphic face, i screamed like a little girl and threw my controller across the room on accident

For me it was the original Xbox controller it was way too bulky for my taste. I could use it easily but didn't want to so I never bought the Xbox. The xbox360 controllers are better at least. Gamecube would be my favorite controller. The design isn't perfect but its light and no easily mixed up buttons IMO.

The "controller" that shipped with the 3DO was the most ungodly device ever made for gaming.

I enjoyed the old Xbox controllers, the original ones not the smaller ones that came out after everyone was bitching.

But i'm going to have to go with bacon here, I swear it was like my character wasn't even moving when I was using that controller.

I hated the old X-box controller.

I like the PS3 controller the best. The 360 controller is comfortable, but I just never really liked the way the buttons felt or something. Plus, if a QTE ever came up while playing X-box saying, press X, I would press A because on the PS3 controller, that is where the X button is located (I'm so used to the PS3 controller lol).

I like the PS3 controller but its so light I feel like I could snap it in half without trying.
naw....I tried, but it's ABS plastic. Much stronger than it looks.

The only thing I dislike about the ps3 controller is that after a while, the left joystick eventually has a deep groove that wears down, and gets stuck when you click it down.

While I agree that the Xbox original controller was uncomfortable, I don't think anything compares to the monstrosity that is the Sixaxis.

The Xbox 360 controller, on the other hand (see what I did there?) is quite possibly the best controller I've ever used. Except for the rather shitty D-Pad, I would declare them perfect. (Your hands may vary.)
