Poll: Worst Fan-boys

I voted Halo fanboys mostly as i have a 360, and everyone i knew who had one got their girly shrieks on. Then when it came out and most reviews i read were, meh it doesn't really add anything to the series other than next gen graphics, and those same people went all leet speak on me in rage at the fact that i didn't get the feeling it was any good. I then went on to play said game and continued to feel pretty meh, and the rage was stupendous.

To be fair though fanboys are annoying in general. On both sides of the fence they find one fault with its competitor and use it to the full extent of their nerd rage. I can't say i have any reason to like the PS3 but that doesn't make me a fanboy. I just have no use for the blu-ray player which keeps the console so extortionate, and i'm yet to see any games on it that appeal to me enough to want to shell out 300 quid for it.

God, Halo by far. I'm surprised the consoles fanboys are so unbalanced though, theres usually a pretty equal outcry from all of them (except the Wii) when someone insults their consoles of love

I am surprised you don't have a PC option. I have to say the PC fan-boys and the Console fan-boys are equally bad. Each one tries to say how they are better when in reality they are equally the same.

They are machines that play games. End of story.

Whilst I admit Halo Fanboys are bad they are nothing compared to the Half Life fanboys who will attack Halo if it is much as mentioned will attack the thread and the original poster with such fanticism it reminds me of a originsiation I would rather not speak of (see any Halo related thread) though the tamest fanboys even if you could call it that would be the Wii playerbase apart from some of the Zelda fanbase.

I vote Half Life fanboys, specifically the ones who operate under the belief that because they play Half Life they are automatically better than everyone else. These guys are the ones who spam threads about Halo and say how much it sucks just to annoy people then swamp the forums with Halo hate threads. They hypocritically mock the Halo Fanboys for obsessing over a game while they themselves obsess about another game calling it the greatest THING ever and then ad onto it by spending their entire time mocking Halo and those who play it. These guys are JACKASSES who think they are special because they hate something.

Also while I am here, Halo's fanbase IS NOT THAT BAD. I went online and played fourteen straight matches, of the fourteen matches sixteen players for each so fourteen by sixteen equals roughly so roughly 224 players.... I found ONE annoying little kid. ONE, only ONE. He was all alone, of 224 people he was the ONLY ONE, the ONLY annoying kid.
Yet we see messages that the Halo fanbase is full of annoying little retards.... why? I think that stereotype is really unjust and honestly is more a stereotype of online gamers that Halo unfortunatley caught the blame for.

Also while I am on the topic, Halo fans are only ever aggressive defenders of their franchise when people walk up to them and shout:
"Halo sucks! And because you play it you are a retard."
This makes them really angry because they were INSULTED. People don't like being insulted!
Try saying:
"Halo is just not my thing although I respect that you like it."
Nice level headed and nothing to object to, they leave you alone after that. Trust me.

GTA IV, just because in one game online (xbox) i had one litle kid going "im special im special" and another dude quoting crap from scarface and pulp fiction and some guy screaming some song into his mic and 2 more people, one was breathing really loud into his mic, like he had it in his mouth or something and the other had static.

I had to pull my headset off, it was deafening and all over a bad experience

Halo Fanboys. Not only are they overhyping a game with several cliches and very undefined enemy (the enemy has changed each game, despite being one storyline), but they tell people the end to Halo 3 before they get a chance, seriously, the entire internet knows, they dont even warn you or give a damn about the spoilers, just BLURT.

Whilst Half life is my favourite game series, I had never heard of having fanboys per say of Half life. Like what do Half life fanboys do which is about as annoying as calling someone an 'Xbot'?

old macs where terrible, i hate them. they crash, and have so many design flaws that are unavoidable. like the space bar being 1mm away from the mouse pad, you want to go onto a new word and you click arhhhhhhhhh. however i am working on a mac now, a mac book which is ok. i wouldent say either system is better because they are machines, at the end of the day their job is to get things done. mac gets things done in a different way, purely because of the way they work. personal preference dosent make me a fan boy. sometimes i like my mac and sometimes i wish i had a PC. i dont preach mac that is so fucking irritating. the people that use and have always used macs and connect their bloody macs together and have i docks and never ever stray outside mac, really piss me off. they give us a bad name. im happy with my mac. im happy with outher people being happy with windows or pc or whatever. honestly most mac users are normal people but i too hate mac fanboys.
