People who don't take anything with any sense of humor. When I run around commando knifing everyone, I apologize and turn it into one big joke. When people actually take the game seriously and noobtube me in the face and scream stuff like 'LOL OMG U SUCK', that's when the game starts to blow. Play it any way you want, but please for the love of God take it lightly.

When you're in the pre-game lobby and you try to look at all the players' emblems and callsigns before the teams get locked. Why aren't you allowed to highlight the players when the countdown begins?
Petty, but I find it extremely frustrating!

Have you played MW2? with lightweight, Marathon, and Commando, they almost fucking teleport, as a matter of fact, On a kill cam, I've SEEN them teleport.

I once asked a classmate why they likes modern warfare 2. He didn't say it directly but he basicly said that because of MW2s broken balance(he didnt imply that but thats my opinion) he is good at it(which he said directly) and thus he likes it because it boosts his ego (he said he liked the game because he was good at it a.k.a. got alot of kills.)

I did play modern warfare 2(before i decided that IMO it sucks) a little and i would have to go with akimbo shotgunners.

If some of the players weren't so annoying it'd be a pretty cool game. I love the constant feel of danger, knowing you have crazy knifers running around, and snipers, and everything else. It's a fun game overall.

The worst part about MW2 is when people make threads complaininq about MW2.
/sass

Anyway, there are three bad thinqs in MW2, and that is it. Everythinq else is fine.
1. Spawns. They suck. I don't even know what to put here, except that I've had such a bad spawn that my life was LESS THAN HALF A SECOND. Also the spawnkiller used a GRENADE LAUNCHER. And he qot a HEADSHOT. ON ME.
2. The UMP45. Cheapest thinq ever, in any game. Ever. (that is hyperbole) Anyway, if you use it you have no skill. It is that simple. (this is because it is ridiculous, and if you use it you either a. like how it is a qood qun and do not realize that there are other, less cheap ones or b. you are skilled, and you use it, and everyone else makes it look bad, or c. you use it to be a dick, you suck, and you are compensatinq for lack of friends.
3. The people that play it complain into the mic every sinqle time they die. PLEASE REALIZE THAT IN THIS QAME, YOU WILL DIE. IT IS LIKE LIFE. SETTLE DOWN.

anyway that is all if i offended anyone then you probably deserve it and if you have anythinq to add then you should add it

Noob-tubes are meant to take out the campers.
Except for the fact that this is wrong. Danger close noob tubers take out everyone. The only possible chance you have of getting the winning end in a one on one with a noob tuber is if you get within about ten feet of them, or if you have the high ground with no walls around you.

The under barrel grenade launcher has no place in Multiplayer gaming.
I haven't had a problem with tubers. Anytime they get the jump on me they could have actually killed me quicker with bullets.

I don't understand why people complain about campers and noob-tubers. Campers are simply thinning the herd of the morons that keep trying to rush at them like zerglings. Noob-tubes are meant to take out the campers.

Have you ever played MW2?

Turn a corner and come face to face witha Commando knifer and he has a HUGE advantage over you as he can teleport 8-10 feet and not have to aim, it just locks onto you and BAM- dead.

As for the noob tubes, One Man Army making them infinite has utterly ruined the objective games.
Well, if you're close enough to be face-to-face, logically the person who has the melee-oriented perks should win. Now, if that was just an exaggeration and you actually have distance between you, you should still have time to blast him in the face as he comes straight for you, particularly if you're carrying a shotgun or a fast-firing weapon.

Oh yeah, it's TOTALLY my fault for not hearing the guy with silent footsteps and only uses a knife! I just suck too much to not hear his SILENT FOOTSTEPS.
Yeah, it is your fault for relying so much on sound and not keeping situational awareness.

I disagree. People who camp usually just sit in a corner with a shotgun and they don't punish rushers they punish anyone who runs by for the entire game. The noob-tube is kinda hard to get over because if you know the spawns you can get a few easy kills at the beginning of a match (though people shouldn't be so predictable with how they start a game). The knife if just ridiculous. It can have such a large range and with the right perks its ridiculous how easy getting kills with it is. Also from a realism standpoint the knife shouldn't kill with one hit. It takes at least a 3-round burst to take down an enemy, why only one knife hit?
Addressing campers specifically, camping makes you predictable. One smart player is all it takes to ruin a camper's day.

OT: My main gripe with MW2 is not only the game setup system for PC, but also how similar all the weapons are to each other. It seems more like picking a different skin than picking an entirely different weapon.

Noob Tube. They figured out where to fire exactly on our point in rundown. We couldn't cap it until one of us took a riot shield and blast shield on it. We still died.

i hate the computer that spawns you like if i get killed ill get spawned far as hell from the action and my team or right in the middle of the enemy but as soon as someone from the other team gets a helicopter or a ac130 or a haarier suddenly it wants to spawn me 2 feet from my team mates in an open field with no hope to get to cover i mean what the fuck this has litaraly caused me to get death streaks of up to 20 deaths its ridiculous
EDIT: the only reason i play mw2 is that im an unlocking and achievement whore who just loves to unlock everything he can and mw2 has that cool giutar drum noise thing that i love

I hate picking 'other' in a poll - but I'm going to have to this time.

The entire nature of the killstreaks & perks frustrates me.

I feel the entire basis of good multiplayer is 'balance', so the perk system is flawed because perks you unlock after playing the game for some time are better than the ones a starting player has access to. This means players who are already better at the game (just through gameplay experience) also have better abilities than new players - further increasing the gap and reducing balance.

The killstreaks have a similar problem - a team that starts winning gets rewarded with air support which enables it to continue to win and broaden its lead. As the match goes on, this enables the team access to even more killstreaks and air support, which broaden the lead still further*.

I don't expect teams to be perfectly balanced - but I don't really see the point in rewarding the guys who are already winning in such a way so that, rather than just winning, they piss all over their opposition. These features seem designed to exacerbate any difference in skill between players/teams.

I don't like being on a winning team where there's been no challenge, and I don't like being on a losing team where I've been dominated** for the entire match.

*Yes, I know there are counters to this sort of thing which make it less effective - but I don't like feeling like I have to counter game mechanics when I'm playing a multiplayer game.
**dictionary definition of the word, not the CoD definition of it...
