depends again on game for noobtubes, love em in BC2 good for blowing out the walls and 'tunneling' towards the crates/flags.Deadlock Radium said:Would wars be better without snipers?
Sniping is a crucial part of the "war-feeling" in games, without snipers, it's not a war game.
I don't have any problems with snipers.
The only thing games could be without is NoobTubes. I hate those.
[SUB]Going against NoobTubers with a single fire M14 Assault Rifle is hell..[/SUB]
But each non scoped shot only takes off 50 damage, and with the reload time that makes for no DPS whatsoever compared to any other class for close range.Marine Mike said:Really? Because my consistent gripe about sniper rifles in games is that they are crap accurate at close range if you try to shoot without the scope. Anything closer than 25 meters you shouldn't miss if you don't use a scope, in fact just about anyone with training would be able to hip-shoot a rifle and hit something at 25 meters.Warrior Irme said:I like the way TF2 handled the power of sniping. Make a basic charge up that basically forces snipers to stay long range. The only problem I have with sniping in most games is it can be used just as effectively up close.
Agreed. Valve sure spent a lot of effort balancing everything.Sephychu said:To avoid, you just have to be conscious of cover and staying out of their line of sight. Futhermore, playing as them is truly joyous, if a little tedious in brown, gritty fps games. TF2's sniper system is my favourite.
