Honestly back in high school we had serious discussions about filming a Real World audition tape with me explaining how I would be the greatest villain in Real World history. I probably should have gone through with it.

I would be hated for money, but only if I was not known. I would honestly hate being famous in any capacity, so that's a deal breaker. However, I think that kinda defeats the purpose of your question, so I checked other.

eh.. no. they could never pay me enough to exhibit myself like that. publicity is the bane of my existence. if they were asking me to exhibit myself in my natural state, i would probably not consider it unless the offer broke an unreasonable threshold. but since they're asking me to exhibit myself in an unnaturally shameful state, then the deal is irredeemable.

If I was to do so, I know I'd only have one possible recourse after getting tired of taking money from the brainless: Run for public office.

Think of it: if my reputation was toxic enough, I could sink whatever party I chose simply by belonging to it or even saying I support it. Cutting the other way, by being a lightning rod for all the rage and rancour focused at government bigwigs, I could keep the public's eye far away from policies that might otherwise inflame or outrage the public and coax a bit of positive change into the waking world.

Or plunder it for my own evil ways. Hey, if I'm going to be universally hated, I have to take my fun where I can get it.

Of course! I want the moniez!!! Every famous person/celebrity/politician has lots of money and lots of hate. So yeah to reiterate, of course. Plus, every hipster in the world will love me because everyone else dislikes me so much. I don't like hipsters that much, but I'll take what I can get.

Some people consider being hated for being successful to be a mark of pride.

So I could find a way to deal with it, especially with all the money I could want to comfort me and buy bully-bodyguards. I already like some casual trolling, I suppose that's a point to work up from to outright public antagonizing. I'd probably learn to turn it into life force like Mr Burns did on The Simpsons.

That might make it worth it. I grew up watching the WWF (now WWE) in the 90/00s, the reign of the heels! I loved it.

You probably wouldn't be hated as much going that route but I'm pretty sure they all end up with the bodies of a 90 year old man by the time they're 40 so I'm not sure if that would be worth it either

Would the show only be aired in our native countries? I am kind of tired of England anyway, so if I could become rich, but only hated by random British people, then I'd do it and go live somewhere nicer.

No, because what would be the point when you cannot get the peace to enjoy it? A part of the luxury of being wealthy is surely the freedom it can provide. If you don't have any chance of enjoying it in peace, then it is going to feel very hollow.

They would know that it's fake but they're generally unlikable people so they hate you anyways

They are also sworn to secrecy so if anyone asks them, they say that you are like that in real life, not just for the show. They are very fanatical; they will die before they tell the secret that you're not really like that.
