Even if I were to die and stop existing, I'd probably rather do that . God knows why he wants a replacement, and I don't really want to find out. If i could have final peace, I'd take it. Continuing with life would be alright too, though it would feel weird after being hit by a speeding bus.

Somebody has to do the dirty work, so I would accept, though probably not right away.

I do find it a bit ham-handed that if I kill someone it has to be painful. Not everyone is killed by a bus to the face! I imagine death coming more on the edge of any death, whether accidental or natural, so I'd just come along and reap them at their time of need.

O.K you're walking down the street one day when ALL OF A SUDDEN YOUR HIT BY A SPEEDING BUS! You're laying on the pavemnt on the brink of death when you're approached by a man in a long overcoat. He goes on about how he is in need of a "replacement" and you soon find out he is the grim reaper. So he offers you a propistion.

Become the new angel of death which comes with:
-Increased Strength
-Increased Speed
-Increased Mental Capacity
-Inivisibility
-Shape-Shifting
-Intagability(Walk through walls)

Though becoming the angel of death would meen instaly knowing when all your loved ones would die and the way they would meet their demise. You would also cause the person you are "reaping" pain beyond belief. You would also share their pain and their death permantley ecched into your mind forever. You are also able to walk among the dead as well as the living.

Or you could just return back to life just the way you were.

So I ask you now do you become Death?

Intereestingly enough, Reapers were said to alleviate the pain of death, and that your soul struggled in agony until a reaper came along and retreived the sould from the body... Besides, if you could walk through anything, you wouldn't really need the strength. I'm sure if you were invulnerable, you'd eventually learn everything over time...

GOing with the old legend of how the grim reaper alleviated pain and took away the suffering of those caught in the throes of death, I would take up the offer in a moment to help the dying...

The way you described it... I don't normally fear death, but I would fear it upon taking the job, so I'd have to decline

But you wouldnt do it without reason, thats not the point.

There is a difference between "prepared to die" and "[it's your] time to die". There is no moral reason in taking a life, because you "have to". No moral, no honor.

You have much to learn, young one.

no offense but if we waited for everyone to be prepared to die no one would ever die

and if your into the whole re-incarnation thing it removes some issues
