If they changed things up a bit more, and if it came out maybe 5 years from now. The Left 4 Dead formular is getting pretty stale to me.

No it is way too early for another game. L4D2 was pushing it. That probably stemmed from them not having enough time to put all their ideas into the first but at the moment it is a bit too soon.

I own both the games, but I grew tired of them. I don't think I'd buy the third unless some major changes were made.

I would buy it day one. I loved the first two and if Valve takes some of my advice for the locations and ideas (call me, Valve!) it would be the best one yet.

Yes, because I do not want to be left for dead.

Bad joke, it is.

But yes, because it would be interesting to see how Valve handles it.

On the other hand, no. Because it would delay Episode 3 by another decade.

I got the firt one thinking the Director would make it interesting. Two hours later, I finished the entire game. I played the same level two different times on two different levels. Only things tht changed were weapon placements and infected locations. I was still running down the same corridor. And considering I hate multiplayer online....

In the end, the series is not as good as they should have been. An entire campaign, instead of a few levels focused on multiplayer would have been more of a reason to fork out the $120NZD Valve demanded for it.

No way. I really don't like the first two, so there's no way I'd be buying a third. Unless it wasn't as simplistic as the other ones. The games are just way too shallow, and thus boring, for me.
Ditto. It gets so dull after a while, whether alone or with friends. My mate finally persuaded me to get L4D2. He wouldn't stop playing it and begging me to play with him. Gaah it was so dull after playing through each campaign once. IMO it has almost zero replay value

Not really. The first two were ok and I had some fun, but not enough to buy a third game, at least not until there's a price cut.

It took me until very recently to buy L4D 1 and 2, I'd likely buy it eventually when it too was on offer for 4 quid but until then, nada. I prefer Killing Floor anyways.

Left 4 dead 2 was the best gaming experience of my life, just me, 2 friends, hordes of zombies and AI Rochelle (someone needs to take the blame after all :]). But on topic yeah in a heart beat. L4D1 was good and L4D2 was amazing, I see no reason why L4D3 couldn't be even greater, it would be a first day purchase for me even if it's release was tomorrow, next month or a century from now.

Hell yeah.
Clocked many an hour into the first two. Third would only be released if it was necessary. That's who valve are.

I'm not sure. I loved L4D 1, but for some reason L4D2 just didn't excite me the same way.
