No. Not cheating.

I'm a little surprised to see that this answer is the minority.

Fairly certain it's more of a morality, fairness, issue. Rules may not specificly dictate an answer, but in the minds of the majority of the players it's unfair. Hence being referred to as cheating.

If you were a fellow player and you really wanted to win for whatever reason, how would it make you feel to lose due to such tactics? Granted, if you're also using such tactics, then I guess the argument would be moot.

Yeah, I'd have to consider that to be cheating, which I'm kind of bummed out about, honestly. Hide and seek with robots would be the best game EVER.
