Poll: Would you consider yourself a regular here on the escapist?

I like to say Im a regular here. Mostly a lurker, unless its a topic Im sure I know a bunch about. But steadily becoming more active!

I've been visiting the Escapist on and off for since 2008, but don't actively post on forums since I prefer to observe rather than interact. On my previous account I didn't get anymore than 200 posts and I'd probably lose interest in posting on this one too.

I've been lurking here since Yahtzee first showed up on the sight and have been on here at least, though considerably more, once a week for the past few years. Most days include several visitations to the site and a few forum lurks for me per day but I almost never contribute. So take from it what you will o'lord and master lRookiel.

Yes to the first question and mostly for the second. I'm almost always on here and post to the forums daily after all but I don't really belong to any groups. I think I may have joined one at some point but I'm not at all active in it if I did. I would think people recognize my avatar and while I have some people on my friend list I don't really know anybody personally.

Considering i've been on for a few years now and have a decent amount of posts under my belt and have some Escapist friends I can safely say i'm a regular.

I'm never on R&P though. Because, y'know i'm not insane? I think my views on God and stuff would not go down well with any religious people and I don't really have a detailed view on politics in general. As long as they leave my Internet alone me and politics get along fine.

Oh and my Forum Health Bar is permanently clear! Obvious signs of the nicest guy ever seen on The Escapist amirite?

Recognized? Nope, I've been here for a few years now and I don't exactly post a lot but I would consider myself active since I've been on this site almost everyday for the last few years. I also usually end up posting late into threads like this one so I end up getting lost in the ass end of them.

I've been on the verge of being banned twice. But now with so many of the people I argued with gone from the site (Xanith, Seekster, Piffle, etc) there really isn't much to fight over anymore.

Gone are the people who insisted that people having Asperger's are just social rejects who live in their parents basement and want an excuse (Xanith), that Gays are a reject of God's design (Piffle) or that being a Democrat is a disease that needs to be cured (Martel), so not a lot of reasons to wager my health meter.

I'd say that places you as the champion of R&P, you have vanquished your foes and remained alive. I applaud your efforts good sir!

1. Recognized... a little. Mostly in R&P. I don't really use fancy gifs in my Avatar, and they tend to stay the same for a while, plus I don't post any heavy opinions outside of R&P.

2. I visit at least 10 times a day, and post a lot. So I'd say yes.

Yes to both questions when it comes to R&P, I've fought some grand battles in that hellish section of the forum. Outside of the battlefield not really.

I recognize you. You've posted about your love of metal a few times and it always makes me picture Geralt windmilling to some Suffocation.

OT: I don't believe many would recognize me here. I don't tend to post many "outrageous" opinions and neither my posting style nor my avatar particularly stand out.

I do post here nearly every day, though.

Recognized member? Ha...! Not even close. I couldn't get someone to quote me if my life depended on it, unless they're trying to tell me I'm wrong and/or shove their opinion down my throat. I didn't have a single friend until a year and a half after joining.

Yes, I'm active and yes I'm a regular. Not so much on the weekends, but weekdays my status will say "Online now" for a good portion of the day. The Escapist is a nice tab to have open.

As for being noticed? I couldn't say, I think some people might recognize me, but many more don't know or care that I exist.

I always recognize you as the fighting poster, you loveeee your fight games ^_^ (nothing wrong with that, you just have a super passion for the mechanics of it all)

OT:

1) I post mostly in GD and the occasional bit in OT..

however, i tried going into R&P one time and did this:

the amount of rage and griefing in there was ridiculous, they'd give zeel a run for his money.

2) I login usually at least once a day, or leave a tab open in my computer/laptop, but there are some days i don't post anything at all, and then there are some that i post 20+ times that day depending on what it's about.

so yeahhh, somewhat active.

I'm absolutely not a recognized member, but I'm definitely a regular. I'm on the Escapist everyday, and post at least once a day, if there's something I feel like contributing to. Otherwise, I imagine I'm a bit of a non-entity.

And besides, I have the Regular badge, so I fulfill that requirement.

I honestly have no idea if I'm recognized here outside of the people from the Brovengers user group since I'm there all the time where it's safe because it's fun and I like the shenanigans there. So, I don't think so, and I'm kinda okay with that.

I think I'm fairly active because of said Brovengers and I post around like once a day at least depending on what's going on around here and if I'm super busy with work and whatnot. I'm here all the time so I'd like to think so.

Regular? definitely. been visiting ( more like distracted away from university assignments) the escapist at least daily since late 2010, long time lurker before first posting in late 2011

Recognised member? nope, seeing as I don't drop my 5 cents in on every topic that appears here on the escapist like some other members are addicted to doing.
