Depends on the invader really, but assuming genocidal archetype: I'm in the woods with a rifle fighting a guerilla war until they hunt me down. An invasion of my country by people not bent upon annihilation might be met with somewhat more restraint.
So basically agreeing with most posters. I'm not willing to die for land, but I will gladly fight to preserve the lives of people and their way of life.

I live in Hong Kong, a Special Administrative Region in China. If Hong Kong was being threatened, I would likely resist but my first choice would be trying to get out of there in any way I can. I've got a soul but I'm no soldier.

Let me see. For the USA I would fight, kill, torture, be tortured, pillage, burn, massacre. though would I die, not unless I take down at least ten of the enemy with me.

No. I do not feel that my country is the best based on the fact I was born in it, I do not feel my country is anywhere near the best. If we didn't have a terribly corrupt and inefficient goverment, that doesn't start wars it doesn't really need to, and a population half filled with idiots I'd consider it.

I guess I would if you know, some new force invaded and it was either
A)hide in my basement until I get bombed
B)run out with a weapon and protect those I care for.

no, overpatriotic displays of heroic suicide are against all i believe in... of course i would kill for them if they payed me enough.
