If my death would help defend my country and countrymen against tyranny, oppression, persecution, and destruction, then yes, I would gladly die in defense of my country. But as my countrymen seem to vote for tyranny, oppression, and persecution, I certainly wouldn't die for my government.
I wouldn't die for any national origin myth or the honor of the nation or the borders or aggressive wars or anything silly and nationalistic like that.

while nationalism is consrtuct fairly recently created by man, i would die for the ideals of my country, but not the idea of the country itself
The only things I see as worth fighting for are ideals and people, and since most countries seem to lack any real concern for either one, no, my country is not worth dying for.
Fuck no, the only reason i haven't moved as far away from my town as humanly possible is because of the 10 or so people who aren't binge drinking, coke snorting chavs.
No. I mean, it's not like the country ever does anything that I ask it to do. If they'd fix the education system like I've been saying they should ever since it spent every day for ten years beating the shit out of me and generally failing to be remotely organized or helpful, I might reconsider (the other four years they were still completely incompetent, just less violent).
I would not die for my country. The people here have no understanding of Socialism, but still demonize it. Despite our claims at being secular we still freak out if there is some accusation that somebody running for high office might theoretically, potentially, follow a religion other than Christianity.

It's really not as simple a question as you seem to think. For one thing, I can't even answer your poll because there's only "yes" and "no," but no "maybe" or "I don't know." Whether or not I'd ever seriously commit myself towards harming another human being really depends on the situation. Would I fight in Afghanistan or Iraq? Absolutely not. Those are both wars that were supposedly started for the sake of defending my country (I'm American, if you haven't guessed). Would I, even if US soil was being invaded? I really don't know. I was raised with the principle that adults solve their problems with their words, not violence. That being said, I've never so much as been in a fist fight, because I've always been able to avert such situations. So...I really don't know how I'd handle myself, if I felt that I were being seriously threatened.
