Part of me wonders if I should already be doing this, the way things in the UK are going.

Also, how do you expect people to keep politics out of a fundamentally political thread?

Maybe, I am a massive coward so I would probably take up a support role and leave the fighting to the more qualified.

That depends on how oppressive generic government A got. So if it ever came to that point then I would take up arms to defend my freedom and the freedom of others...

But that's only if things went to total fascism/communism/dictatorship...

Yes. I would give my life to fight for freedom.
Unless we lost. That would suck.

I would if I felt it was necessary. Granted I'm not great with firearms but at least I'd give the enemy something to shoot at for ... 5 minuets.

Hell, I'd join an unarmed rebellion if I thought things were bad enough; I'd rather be dead than opressed.

I find my life and my work too valuable to trade in for a heroic sacrificial death. I'd only take up arms for survival.

All forms of power corrupt like nothing else; constant vigilance must be kept, for it takes but one crapwad to guide the well meaning into the totalarian mindset.

So yeah, if my gov't made that leap I'd definately pick up a gun and start shooting. Better to die free (and/or hard), fighting furiously for what I believe in, than to live the life of a slave.

i like to think i would be shooting and screaming viva revolution in the streets but in reality i would probly be at home watching it the living room with my family like the majority of the population. And if it were put down i would shrug it off and continue to live day to day but if they won i would probly do the same. not every one is rebel material and i sure as hell aint.

I would probably have fled the country before it was made necessary. Even so I would probably be part of a passive resistance movement if necessary, as I am a pacifist.

It seems likely, I mean I know people seem to love letting oppressive governments push them around sometimes but I wouldn't mind actually doing something about it.

Fuck the oppressors! Libertarian Communism for all!

Seriously though, if it was bad enough for an armed conflict, I would get in the thick of it
