It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.
-Dolores Ibarruri-

I think that sums it up pretty well for me.

Well i would rather be a part of the goverment, become a powerful and popular general and then march against the goverment with my army. Then i would rule and there shall be peace.

As an independent contractor, sure. I'm not much for championing a cause, but I'd make one hell of a merc.

That depends on how oppressive generic government A got. So if it ever came to that point then I would take up arms to defend my freedom and the freedom of others...

But that's only if things went to total fascism/communism/dictatorship...
Pretty much this. When I graduate, I'm going to be taking an oath to support and uphold the U.S. Constitution. Not a government, the Constitution. Thus, if any government became so authoritarian as to completely disregard that document, then it would be my duty to rebel against it.

I would be one of those guys who doesn't necessarily like the oppressive government, but won't do anything, until some catastrophic incident happens to my family or friends or a bunch of innocent people because of said oppressive government.

An incident such as...shall we say...Alderaan being completely destroyed?...

If I agree with the cause and am given liberty to conduct warfare in the style of my choice, then yes.

I think we are already on a slipper slope into oppressive governments so i would be more than happy to rebel.I have already started thinking of what i could do to curve this trend of more and more "human right conflicting laws" being passed.I am more worried about the public that are too scared or just seem to oblivous to notice it slowly happen around them

But i think V says is perfectly when he says

"And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned"

I will not be oppressed by fear of governments and hope i can say that the public stop this before it gets that far.

Yes and that is how democracy works if your not happy with your government you can just leave until they have a country of supporters and turn it into dictatorship. It will be like nazi germany but instead of arresting everybody that dont agree with the government or the government doesnt like they will just force them out of there homes.

No that is not how democracy works and that is why it is the most popular government system in place so it will "make"" governments answer to the public

Simple answer: Fight. The. Power.

I go to the shooting range pretty regularly, so I'd imagine that I'd make a good addition to the grunts. I'm also a good liar, so maybe I could be a mole or a spy or something. But yeah, I'd much rather fight for my right to all the stuff I have the right to any way I can than wait for it all to blow over.

It worked for Andrew Ryan. He was not satisfied with the status quo, so he built an underwater utopia. I was surprised that it fell apart after only a few years. You could even say I was...*puts on shades*...Shocked.

Well it didnt did it rapture ended up having a rebelion of its own that killed nearly everybody or should the people against Ryan leave to make their own country. At this rate we will have millions of countries with a few hundred people in them at most.

lol are you serious? Spend some time in a real oppressive nation before you make statements like that. Whatever grievances you have are a joke compared to the state of affairs in places like Zimbabwe, Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Burma, Belarus, and Libya, to name a few autocratic regimes.

Nope, but I will do backroom surgery on the freedom fighters (I'm training to be a doctor), if that helps.
