It depends on what the Devil is offering. He's gonna need to fork over some serious rewards if he even wants me to consider joining him.

I'm talking at least two planets and a badass space-ship before I'm even considering it might be a good idea.

Yeah, lets fight for the very essence of evil against an omnipotent being who can wipe you from existence and send you to eternal torment with a mere thought?

yeah.
I would agree to this wholeheartedly.

Well if the devil is trying to take god down then I'm guessing he has a good chance or at least he thinks he does. He's also got hell's army with him which I'm betting is a lot bigger than god's because we're all sinners one way or another. Said army will include the most sadistic people to have ever lived by the way. If we lose we all go back to hell for eternal punishment which was gonna happen anyway. If we win...well we win.

God and jesus' side has angels yes but they are limited in number and really it's only archangels that can do some real damage. They are restricted by rules whereas hell's army isn't. If they lose you can only imagine what'll happen. If htey win it's paradise on earth. Their version that is where there's still rules and really when you think about it sounds quite boring.

I'm all for the devil here. Especially if we're talking about the one who rebelled because he wanted equality.

Why the devil? Why not Nyarlathotep? They're equally plausible.

Anyway, I'd join Nyarlathotep. Sure, he's evil and chaotic and stuff, but 1) he's p cool with humans (as minions) and 2) it'd probably a lot of fun helping an evil deity kill stuff. Nyarlathotep and Azathoth are where it's at.

don't know what book you've been reading, but the devil thought he was BETTER than God and started a war, he got crushed. Also if the devil wins, we lose. he will torture humans all the same, the devil does bad stuff because God loves humans and since he can't hurt God he tries to turn the humans against him, it's really all he can do. After the war he'll most likely erase all humans from existance.

This. I mean, seriously, if you recognize the existance of God and the devil, then why the hell(no pun intended) would you join the devil? i don't care if you even think the devil is in the right, it doesn't matter, because God will f-ing win!

you know, i'm not sure if thats what would happen. The common misconception is that Satan is the king of hell, torturing people, when in fact according to the story Satan is merely a fellow prisoner of hell, being tortured by the torment god created for him; he only seeks to currupt humanity just to spite dear-old-dad for his imprisonment. If Satan won control of the world, i'm not so sure he would be all evil; ya, he might not be the best leader, but i don't think he would be interested in making humanity suffer just for the sake of suffering. sure, he hurts people to get back at daddy, but if he beats god, then he won't have much of a reason to continue going after humanity

Channel Charles Darwin's ghost and run into the middle of the battle field guns blazing, taking down both sides and restoring glory to the mortal human race.

If these are the characters taken straight from the Bible, not from modern beliefs about them, then I'd say Jesus would have to explain A LOT before I helped him. Sure, his later message is great, but when his side of the story has him killing thousands and the ultimate evil killing a family with God's permission...gonna be a tough sell, gotta say.

Does the Devil stand a chance? Because if I get a position of a reaper after we win then maybe I'd side with the Devil. Thing is, you can't trust shit the devil tells you I am guessing, so whatever he offers it could all be a lie for all I know. Then again, I wouldn't really trust God either. I dunno, I if they both asked me for help I'd rather just stay out of it and not take sides. But I guess I'd go to hell for that when I die soooooo. Ehm, I am fucked basicly.

The devil. If god is good and isn't a hypocrite he can't kill me (thou shall not kill). Seeing as how he already flooded the earth and killed everyone, I still wouldn't want to follow a bastard who's all powerful but can't practice what he preaches. I'd rather side with a demon who admits his desires and doesn't hide behind the face of good. Besides when gods want to wage a war it's usually to wipe out the earth and start over to fix their mistakes. The world may not be perfect but I'd rather live with the way it is than die. Of course if the devil wants to kill everyone I will remain neutral, but in a lot of fantasy books the demons don't always kill people that just want them to sin and join their side.

If I could join an army of angels/demons/humans that are against both sides then that is what I would choose.
Otherwise, make your poll more open, not everybody belongs to a mutation of Roman Catholicism.

Based on the murder record for both sides, I'll side with Satan, who's killed far, far less people.

Don't believe me? You DARE not fucking believe me!?

Wait, so one guy can kill everyone on earth without a second thought and you side with the guy that can't do that? Where is the logic there?

Seriously, the biblical God may be a prick and the greatest mass murderer of all time, but I'd rather be on his side than against him in a fight.
