Besides the whole "eternal happiness" being a very good thing to fight for, I've never understood why anyone would follow someone proudly proclaiming to be The Prince Of Lies.

They are both dicks. And with the number of atheists and false believers in the world today, they are little more than pale shadows. Let them have their war, and when they are done, the world will go on as it always has.

I would side with the devil because... its night time, im bored, its something to do while listening to some music and kicking ass.
Plus I could have awesome stuff ... like a katana on fire that shoots ice

I've been watching FAR too much Supernatural lately, so I have to say that I wouldn't join either side, but try and prevent the two sides from tearing the earth apart in their apocalyptic battle.

Like I said. Far too much Supernatural than is probably healthy.

I would probably choose the Devil.

He's the devil. He likes metal.

Those who choose Jesus will probably have to listen to Amy Grant or some shit for all eternity. Sounds like that's where the REAL hell is at ;)

If I join God, do i get to cast Summon Bears, Greater Frog Infestation and Talk To Donkeys? In that case, I'm in.

What am I being offered to join the Devil's army?
For that matter what am I being offered to join Jesus'?

I can't make a decision unless I know what perks are involved.
Predator missile after 3 kills

Angel Airstrike after 7 kills

Holy Hand Grenade after 11 kills

He's the devil, he won't honour any contracts.

For that matter what am I being offered to join Jesus'?
The devil won't win? Seems like a perk to me.

I can't make a decision unless I know what perks are involved.
If you need something concrete, you get salvation or rapture or what ever the people who were right say he gives you and the devil gives you eternal torment.

OT: Jesus, duh.

You know... if god knows everything that has happened, is happening and is going to happen, and have the ability to change the outcome... woulnt it make a lot more fucking sense for him to, you know, STOP THE BAD THINGS FROM HAPPENING?

Dont come with the line "god gave man free will so we ourselves can find gods love or prove to be unworthy ectectect blahblahblah", cause that just makes god seem like a fat immature kid with a magnifying glass on a sunny day burning ants, joyously watching as we scurry about trying to avoid the "beam of justified kills".

Besides, if free will is the cause of evil... is there free will in heaven? If there is then there has to be evil in heaven, and if not - it means our reward for serving faithfully is to become puppets to the guy we served... yay for afterlife eh? >_>
I don't see how it makes him seem immature. It's only real love if we have freewill, and He deserves that.

You ask a difficult question, but I think that we keep our freewill in Heaven. However, I think that we never sin in Heaven because we become new. We are not longer the same as we were on Earth.

Anyone who recognizes the existence of the devil (I don't) would NEVER consider joining him. It's INSANE.

Yeah, lets fight for the very essence of evil against an omnipotent being who can wipe you from existence and send you to eternal torment with a mere thought?

yeah.
I thought the devil was actually an angel who got jealous of God's human-favouritism? And as a result got kicked out of heaven? But even so, that would just mean I'd be joining a super-powered angel who rules over a hell-dimension and has a grudge against my entire species because he has daddy issues ... I'd join God. For all I know he may even give me archangel powers, then I could be like Angemon; flying around, shooting love-lasers-of-death, reverting into an air-bubble shooting creature that looks like it should actually be Hermes slipper because of teh wings on its head.

What kind of stupid question is that. Who to pick: the incarnation of everything bad and evil or the creator of everything including the devil and you.

P.S. I'm not even christian.
This. Why does this thread even exist?
Because interpretations allow it to exist. If one took the bible, its every word literally, they would see that the devil is a hell of a lot nicer than god is (no pun intended). And if you read some of the above posts, you can maybe see a different perspective that makes sense to me.

Why would i join either of them? They're both assholes as far as i see it. Plus, think about it... If they came to me to join them, then i probably have enough power to somehow make a difference. If that's true, then i would much prefer to just sit back and plot as they fight it out. A bit of intervention here and there, at the right time. In the end, if all goes well, i should topple them both and gain control myself. >:D

Seriously, how is that not a better plan than just joining one side?

Considering that God wins, and the Devil would more than likely turn on you while Jesus would offer the best healthcare benefits, I'm going with Jesus. Screw all you you religion haters, Atheists have killed millions of people too.

Why does it have to be Jesus? I don't recognize him as the "Son of God" anyway.

I'd probably still side with him anyway though... even if I hate most of his followers. He probably wouldn't be too bad a person though.

Satan.

Satanism isn't so bad as an actual practice.

Plus, this is the Apocalypse we are talking about. All the non believers are going to be wiped out by "God". So why would I side with him?

Pro-Tip: If you want to live don't fight for the person trying to murder you.
