Depends on if I would starve and if the other people could talk. I would do it if there was no better option i.e. I could hang out with random people for eternity.

I would jump, but how wide is the well? How would i manage to stay in the middle? But if i stay in the room i will probably develop claustrophobia and never dare jump. Staying in the room would eventually drive me mad, but what about the people who have been there longer? How many of them are mad?

Fuck it, make a parachute from the togas and go for it. :p

I would eventually. Maybe wait for someone else to appear after me. I mean, there would be nothing else to do. If nothing else, I'd do it to get away from the other people in this room.

ok, so you get to choose between being stuck in an dark room forever, or falling down a dark well forever... (or into the larger cavern below, whatever)... doesn't really seem like there's any reason not to jump

Hell no! I might die.

Now, I know what you're thinking, if I'm already dead, how could I possibly die? - Let me put it to you this way: does any religion with an explicitly state you can't die in the afterlife?

Where would you go then!? You have to go somewhere, some sort of after-after-life? It's not worth the risk.

I would stay and A) attempt to reach enlightenment, even if it's not the way to heaven, the peace of mind would be nice, and B) to take on the unofficial job of "Greeter" to the newly deceased. And probably engage and an orgy or two, here and there.

yes. eventually I'd run out of things to occupy myself with and it would be the only remaining option - jumping would be inevitable whether I initially wanted to or not.

I would stay and a) try to find loopholes in the enviornment b) create an ideal society among all the enlightend people who don't have the hubris to claim they led a good life. C) find out what kind of objective criteria the "Well" uses via the scientific method. D) using the apperently infinite time alloted, gain omnipotence and erase the horrible place from existance retoactivly.

But you're dead, there's no need for food if you're dead. Unless it's... ethereal food?
heh, ghost burgers...

OT: Yea I'd jump, I wouldn't reach the place of eternal bliss and stuff but hey, better than sitting around all day with other dead folks.

I'd stay in the room, plenty of people to talk to. After a looooong time I might just jump in.

"A good life" is entirely subjective, so I don't see myself in this situation.

I'll live what I consider to be a good life however, and based on that I would take the plunge. A militant christian or muslim would denounce me as soulless hellspawn though, so if it was based on their views I would not take the plunge.
