Without WWII there would be no rock and roll. Without rock & roll there would be no Springteen, Dylan, Beartles, Stones, Clash etc etc. Despite all of this, given the chance, I'm not sure I could resist stopping Hitler. On the other hand, Hitler wasn't/wouldn't be the last great evil of the world. So... yeah, I couldn't say unless I was thrust into the situation

No.
You can never know what will happen if you change the past.
See 'The Butterfly Effect' series of movies (that deteriorate as the progress) for examples.

It's impossible to change time.
Any time travel is part of the time stream and is pre-determined. (Terminator rules)
This question is moot.
This was hypothetical. Not "I have a time machine and are offering you a chance to kill baby Hitler."
But your hypothetical scenario fails due to the rules of time travel.
Most of our modern technology sprang up from World War II. Time Machines are pretty modern. Preventing WWII would create a time paradox and destroy the universe if we're going by your rules. Plus lots of people, some of whom are my ancestors wouldn't immigrate to America, so I wouldn't be born, creating another time paradox.
Paradoxes aren't good when the rules of time travel allow for paradoxes by allowing for changes.

No, I won't kill a person for the crimes their going to do. Esp. when said person is only an infant.

I think I might roast him on an open fire and leave him to the wildlife as well. But I'm a seriously sick puppy.

So you would say no then? And it's not my hypothetical scenario.

I could definitely bring myself to kill the baby, but the question remains, why would I? I certainly wouldn't be in the right in doing so, and if I'm already in my 50s with no friends, would that change?

Would I kill a baby? Yes. Would I kill Hitler as a newborn? Why not. Would I care how it affects the future? No, I really don't care. If by some "universe balancing force" makes it so I'm never born or something like that, well, now that makes this post moot doesn't it?

Sure why not.
Get rid of the Holocaust and when Stalin swings by everyone can rally behind Mannerheim and wipe out communism before any MAD rears its ugly head. Awesome.

I dunno, if they can send me back in time, can't I just... help him get into art school or something?
Yeah I know. Why does infanticide have to be the only option here?

Frankly I don't care about the "you're in your 50s yadda yadda"...

If I could go back in time and prevent the murder of six million Jewish people and who knows what else by throwing a single baby against a wall...

Uh...

That's a no brainer. So very yes.

Would killing Hitler change anything? He was just the leader of the country at the time. I doubt his death would stop any of the other members of the Nazi leadership from starting the Holocaust.

Maybe you dont need to kill him. just send him to the art school he wanted to be in and give him a better father that shows him a bit of love.
