No...it's the only video that I can stand watching, but the forums are good for mindless blathering.

I might not log in on a Wednesday anymore, but I'd still keep logging on for the rest of the week. I still enjoy Zero Punctuation, despite a lot of people growing tired of it. I would even go so far as to say that it's probably my favorite show on the site (though Extra Credits comes close to beating it), but there are a lot of other videos and written articles/comics that I'd keep logging on for. Heck I'd probably even keep my publisher's club membership.

Of course not, for me Zero Punctuation stopped being essential viewing a long time ago, measured in years now. The Escapist has much better things on offer now, including Extra Credits and Escape to the Movies. Should I say especially Extra Credits, those guys are awesome.

No. At this point, I'm here for the forums and some friends. It would make me sad, but... I'd still be here. :3

I would probably stay here for the community, but I can say right now that I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for ZP.

I don't see a point for staying, I mean...
There is nothing here other then ZP that is of decent quality, I tried looking around but the best I could find is watching 5 loser porn-stars playing D&D for 3 hours, I find a recorded match of lawn bowls too be more fascinating.

Yes this place has forums but forums can be only entertaining while your motivated to stay, but after that... well... you know the rest, do you still visit any of your old forums and websites you did when its interest died? no.

Same deal, what is your anchor holding you here? Mine is ZP and I just visit to watch the vidz.

No - I hardly ever watch it these days actually. I come here mostly for the forums and a few webcomics.

Most of the videos take too long to load on my crappy internet connection anyway (esp with those ads ;) ). That said now and then I'll go watch a specific ZP, if it's a game I own and/or love. The Minecraft one being a good example :)

If that was true then why didn't people vote "other" and explain that another video series could just as easily have drawn them to the site ?
1. Because people don't read and think that carefully before posting.

2. People DID explain just that in posts, en masse. The thread is littered with posts that say "ZP brought me here, other stuff made me stay". But they voted ZP anyways (this can be verified easily if you do the maths), because they simply reinterpreted the question to "Without which show would escapist be in deep trouble/be much less popular?".

What's going on really isn't rocket science: ZP right now gets the most newbies to the comm. People then decide that they like it here because of the rest. ZP attracts, other stuff keeps them. BUT: People leave all the time, for other reasons than ZP ... thats completely normal and applies to every community on the net. In every community, people constantly leave, and for activity to remain constant, new ones need to be attracted. THIS is why a show like ZP is relevant: Even if people do not leave because of no-ZP, they leave for other reasons, and thus unless there is something that attracts newbies, activity will go down.

ZP actually does this job so "well", that newbies sign up faster, than existing members leave - MUCH faster.... for my taste, currently faster than is healthy (i could now go into detail why, but that would lead kinda offtopic).

I came here first for ZP, but now I spend most of my time here around off-topic and forum games / roleplay, as well as watching Extra Credits, so I'd stay here regardless. I would be quite sad though if ZP ended :-(

No - why would you sign up to a forum if you only like one show on the website?
