Are you willing to live in a Police State if the government(will be refereed to as the Party) monitored every single aspect of your life? The Party would tell you where to live, where to work, what to eat and drink, what clothes to wear. Your every move will be watched, you phones and computers will be tapped. But IF you give you loyalty and obedience to the Party, they will provide you with a place to live and work, proper education(Party approved learning materials), a crime-free society, excellent healthcare, and the general knowledge that you belong to a greater whole?

Just remember citizen do not step out of line...

Only somebody who has no money or home would even consider that, so the answer you will get from everyone on this board is of course: no.

Considering I'm already given the health care benefits, no, I'd say that it would be highly unnecessary for any government form to step in like that. Unfortunately for the "party", humans are being raised in a time where personal rights far outweigh the rights of society, so there's no way that people as a whole would willingly accept something like that. For once, I agree with that majority.

No way! I'd start planning the assassination of every prominent party member instead...

Hell yes. A police state is a great idea, though maybe not to the extreme you mentioned at the start of this topic. Living in the UK, surrounded by thousands of CCTV cameras, I've got absolutely nothing against the government watching my every move. I don't do anything illegal so I don't get bothered.

Plus, criminals would always be caught and punished, as they should be anyway.

This sounds less good, and not really necessary for effective control over the population.

I still voted Yes in the poll though...

You know, This reminds me of my trip to grocery store the other day. I wanted to get a frozen pizza to make for diner that night, but I couldn't decide on what kind to get. There are too many choices. I, for one, would like for someone to make some of them for me. I also have nothing to hide. So, The answer for me would be yes, I could live in the world you described, but only if I could still play video games. If not, I would join in on the assassination plot.

It would depend on what the government told me too do. Merely being told what to do doesn't bother me, it depends what it is. On the other hand, a truly elite society would not need the government for much.

What 8 people would even consider living in one?!? Those people must be taken to an asylum immediately, as they are defying the human nature of rebellion!!!
