I don't care what the game setting is based on, so long as the game is actually good.

I would not play a game of any type that is based on the bible because:

1.I think most of it is nonsense

2.I don't want to have a book with more than I don't know 400 pages as a walkthrough

Yes. Only if Christian historians were allowed to make sure the Bible is accurately depicted in the game in terms of historical figures, events, and famous battles. Plus I would love to see a video game cut-scene of 2 Kings 2:23-25. Its the passage where the prophet Elisha (not to be confused with the prophet Elijah) is traveling the countryside to Bethel, when a bunch of kids appear and make fun of his bald head. He curses them and God sends down 2 she-bears that kill 42 of the youths. Check it out.

This is the New International Version

23 "From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths. 25 And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria."

New King James Version

23 "Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, ?Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!?
24 So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the LORD. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.
25 Then he went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria."

That's how creative God is and I love that.

An Angels vs Demons game is doable, its been done before.

But The life and times of jesus would be pretty dull, plus the ending would suck.
*silence* Have you not read the whole book of John yet?

I assume you mean a game very loosely based on the Bible, as I don't recall a grand battle between Jesus and Satan + the four horsemen.

But sure, it could make a good game, but there would be way too much controversy. Ignorant Christians would praise it as spreading religion, ignorant non-Christians would accuse it of spreading Christianity, etc. - it would probably be way too hard to find a balance that actually appeals to the mainstream.
Your avatar is EPIC.

Not necessarily the whole Bible, but I would play a game based on Christian/Abrahamic Demonology and some of the darker parts of the Bible.

hell yeah! who wouldn't want to do that. i hope we get the sequel, "the Qur?an".
Nah. Like 80% would just be a rehash!

Seriously, if it were based loosely on the Book of Revelation then it may actually be pretty good. But if it's based on the battle where Moses just had to keep his hands stretched up in the air for God to smite his foes, then it would be pretty boring.

The story of Esther, however, would make a fantastic film.

Voted 'no' as there was no 'maybe' or 'depends' option. To me, if it were executed right, I'd play a game based on anything.

Wow that would be great. Half of the stuff that happens in that book when its not trying to be preachy would be great

I can imagine a Shadow of the Collouss esque moment for David and Goliath and maybe it could also be a good millitary sim with all those battles

Maybe. It'd have to be a damn good story though. Most of that fucking book is full of morality tales.

I think maybe there should be more options, like 'Yes but only in certain circumstances' or something.
