That would, without a doubt, be the most terrible and boring game ever made.
A bit preachy too.

I wouldn't mind seeing a game where you dig into the events of the Pentapolis.

In Act I, you start out as a slave in northern mesopotamia, who gets sold over to the Pentapolis cities, but on the way there, you break out of your slavery, and end up as a soldier in the ranks of the Pentapolis cities.
In Act II, you'd fight in the battles of the Vale of Siddim, and generally muck about in Sodom and Gomorrah, doing all sorts of morally questionable deeds. When in Rome..
Act III would all boil down to god destroying the two notorious cities, and you have to escape the fire and brimstone that are raining from the sky.

I dunno. Some of my bible facts may be totally incorrect aswell.

Unless someone's said it before me, I'd love to play as the Angel of Death. Killing firstborn Egyptians would be pretty fun.

Now someone send a message to Bioware and tell them to get crackin' on the story.

As long as your A. Not shoving rhetorhic or B.Evangelishing to me then fine a game based around christian mythos would be cool we see plenty of greek/roman mythos based games. Only if I am not getting a speech on morality, how we are all going to hell, how we need to be saved blah, blah.

Revelations could be a pretty cool setting for a game if not a massive mindfuck.

If the game is 'fun' then of course. I'm an athiest and I love the story's of the bible, I don't know how it could work as a game but it would be interesting to see.

When I say fun I mean good game play with depth, the game should at least try to be original in some way.

I played that Noah's Arc game AVGN mentioned, and believe it or not, I had fun with it.

Yeah, you want to kick it up a notch and make a totally awesome Bible game? Thing is, you gotta balance awesome with the craziness that is the Christian religion. (The funny thing about those mythologies you mentioned is that they're mythologies, not religion. XD I know there's a fine line there, being that mythology once *was* religion, but fortunately for Game Companies, you can do what you want without getting in trouble with anyone.)

If done well, it could be sooo cool!

So it won't be done well. Someone will see this and cobble together something in a rush to beat everyone else and it will be rubbish and all of the ney-sayers will laugh and the whole concept will be lost forever.

I'd love to see it, but religous people would go crazy because of it. And it would probably get banned in almost every country, the bible has stories that are 100x worse than the sickest we have in games today. But I would love to play it. and its a perfect excuse, "No mommy, I'm just learning the bible!"(hypothetically)

As long as I could hijack donkeys, stab guards and knock off a few hookers I might check it out if was in the bargain bin.
