Yeah, but I don't see it happening until we have children.
Maybe quite the opposite. That will give you an excuse to get a Wii in the house and play Mario Tennis with 4 ;)

Likewise. If he's going to be my partner, he'd have to be a gamer. But then, I hear male gamers aren't too too hard to find. :)
I hear female gamers outnumber male gamers nowadays, though they're all bored housewives playing bejeweled :)

That's funny, I don't even know how to play bejeweled. :p I just know the sounds a Thorian makes when it's shot.

No fucking way. The moment your partner starts asking you to stop doing things or encroaching on what you do for fun you know they're just a gigantic control freak who wants to mould you into their idea of 'perfect' because as we all know, no such thing exists.

Only if she gives up saying everything is 'Cute'... a relationship is understanding each others life and personality

Edit: if you are asked to give it up and you do you are under the thumb

Cutting back my time on games, probably; but when faced with the conflicting choice between gaming and love/sex, I have to ask what defines gaming? Then I realize that the premises can pretty much be sum up as together time v.s alone time, because personally, let's say hypothetically I go cold turkey and rely on nothing but maybe an asthma inhaler, I would still prefer to do some other stuff like cooking, or writing rather then spending excessive amount of time with her; sorry, I guess I'm pretty much a lone wolf type of guy.

You lost me on the asthma inhaler part but I see where you're going with the rest. Of course when faced with the "spend time together" vs "alone time" dilemma, you can always go for a more social gaming console like the Wii and play Tennis or Mario Kart together, instead of playing the latest first person shooters set in the WWII era on PC. But that also depends on what your expectations are from playing games of course. I can understand that some people play games to more escapist means.

The girl I sorta'-maybe-kinda'-am-with-complicated would probably never ask me to do that, but if she did, I'd easily get her to see it my way. I have a habit of that. If she was adamant, I'd do it less, sure. Would I give it up? I'd be concerned about what she thought if she wanted me to.

Brings up questions about her character. And I'd be fully willing to discuss such things, but I know a bad sign when I see one.

there are other fish in the sea, I will admit I game to excess, but if someone asks me to stop, i will, a conversation with my lover wouldn't go like this:
'do you want to go for a walk with me?'
'f*** off b***h, I got some n00bs that need pwning'

rather, it would go like this:
'do you want to go for a walk with me?'
'I'm in the middle of a game that i would like to finish, if you could just wait a while, i could go'

if she doesn't want to wait, I would just quit the game and go.

if she didn't want me gaming altogether, she can go straight to hell.

of course, this is coming from the guy who has never been in a realtionship, so maybe my views will change when I finally get a girlfriend...But untill that day, the above statement is what I would like to believe.

Between gaming or sex, I choose gaming.

Why? You can't miss what you never had.
I lol'd.

No, I would not. If she cannot respect that very important aspect of my life, she's not worth my time in any way, shape, or form.
