I'd take the lobotomy. Frankly, I think it would be a release. It would destroy the feelings of physical attraction that have plagued and haunted me for years, and which make me feel nothing but pain and horror.

In fact, I even gave the thought of being voluntarily lobotomised a decent amount of consideration at one point. That's how bad and limiting I think some of my emotions are.
As usual, I find your views on attraction and emotion to be utterly alien to me. Not saying they're wrong, just... different. Is there a back-story you're willing to share?

Hot girls, guns, and swords. That was the whole point, right? Oh, and something about the subjective nature of reality, but meh. Whilst I'm on a film note - might go see rock 'em sock 'em robots: the movie tomorrow afternoon, if you're around? (EDIT: Don't reply here, my notification thing is playing up)

OT: Death. From what the wikipedia article suggests, having a lobotomy performed on you is akin to having severe and total depression inflicted upon you surgically. Been there, done that, and I will not suffer through it again, certainly not semi-voluntarily. Besides, there's a slim chance something interesting might happen post-death. You never know until afterwards!

Considering there are types of lobotomies that DON'T EFFECT ANYTHING AT ALL. Like say, the partial lobotomies they do for certain types of cancer patients.

I assume you mean a hollywood lobotomy though. No, I don't want to be a burden on people I care about at that level.

well, a lobotomy is one of those things that you only object to until you get one.

Then you don't care

Cause you're lobotomized.

However, I'll answer the question as my alcoholic friend once said

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me then a frontal lobotomy

Theres a difference between being alive and living. I'd rather die myself then live a life which isn't my own. I'd never let them tamper with my humanity.

Completely destroying the Legion using a a gender they consider weak and not fit for anything more than making babies is so very delicious.
I especially enjoyed killing the guard who told me "know your place, woman" when I tried to fight in the arena.

OT: Why not? A big pointy sick through the eye socket never killed anybody.

kill me right then and there. if i can't make a deep critical thought due to a lobotomy, i lose who i am as a person. so i would be dead, but i'd still have to walk through life like i was alive. simply a walking corpse. for those of you that would choose lobotomy of death, good for you. honestly, you're a stronger person than i am. i don't fear death to the extent that my top priority is to stay alive above all else; i fear losing myself as a human being much more so than death. in general, this question is based more so not on what you prefer, but what scares you more, death? or the thought of becoming something that you are not? decisions, decisions.

Wonderful things, for about two hours.

I'd take death. Curious about it. Unless the lobotomy somehow fixed my personality.

But in what order? From whose perspective?

Maybe this is what happens when you watch films on a tiny screen on a plane while jetlagged...
