Yes, buying a separate battery packs at an extra cost, then having to do EXACTLY the same thing, leaving it plugged in somewhere to charge, is SOOOO much better. Point of fact, it is not better then what I am suggesting as you claim. The money invested in an extra controller will be more useful then money spent on a battery pack, since it will be able to both function as a backup, or allow multiple players to play. Buying batteries of any kind are a waste of money in a non-portable console.BLOONINJA 503 said:awesome, instead of answering you tried to call me a lonely loser!!!PTSpyder said:Quite to the contrary, unless you are complete and total shut in, you will ALREADY own more then one controller. In spite of this ridiculous little trend that people have started, the xbox controller is not nearly as good as the sixaxis. The only explaination I can think of for this would be single system gamers who have only owned an xbox and/or a 360 finally buying a PS3, then bitching about the controller. I own both systems, the PS3 controller is better in most situations. Some of my friends/my GF prefer the xbox controller when playing FPS's, which I cant stand.
And since someone brought it up, the AA batteries kinda suck in my opinion. What modern generation piece of electronics still runs on duracell? Nothing. It looks and feels cheap, and if you are all that worried about your controller dying (which never happens to me, even in 14 hour gaming sessions) just get an extra controller, leave it plugged in, and swap out. Its much easier then finding new batteries.
I share and play my xbox with 5 other people, we have 5 controllers.
All I am saying is that changing batteries, or what we do is charge xbox 360 battery packs with this neat tool called the play and charge where we can play and charge the batt at the same time, is a lot more convinient than buying another controller. in fact, it is better than what you are suggesting.
I find it sad that you would look down on people for something stupid like that. Not everyone can use a mouse for PC gaming due to medical reasons. I can't play PC games too long before my wrist gets stiff, and I start getting pains because of a past injury. I have no choice but to use a controller for PC gaming, which is a lot easier on my wrist.CarrionRoc said:If you can't adapt and survive well then too fucking bad. That's why I look down on people that only use game pads for PC gaming.
The Gamecube controller in my and my friend's opinion (who is with me as I write this) is crap compared to both the 360 and PS3 controllers, and he preferred the Gamecube over anything until he got his Wii and 360Vlane said:I think the GC controller is way better than any other controller from this generation.Megacherv said:That's an even odder choice. I like the PS3 controller, the original SIXAXIS is light and easy to shake about, and the d-pad is in a better place (and it's split into 4 buttons, so i don't accidentally nudge it in a different direction like I do with the 360 pad)
EDIT: And a PS3 controller isn't meant to be gripped like a 360 controller, you're meant to hold it loosely in your hands. It's more cradling it than holding it.

Maybe I like the d-pad placement cause I use it for most RPG's and fighting games? Could you tell me which underwear are more comfy for me next cause I am pretty sure I must not know any better on them either?[/sarcasm]CapnJack said:How could anyone LOVE a Playstation controller?
Seriously? Those things are atrocious. They feel cheap. They're tiny. They make your hands cramp. The placement of the d-pad is actualy stupid, because you use the control stick a lot more frequently. Maybe you could like it if you don't know any better...
Of course I can. Boxer briefs. The only kind worth wearing, really. Regular boxers are great when you're not wearing pants, because the airiness is awesome, but assuming you plan to go outside at all, Boxer briefs are a much better option. They're tighter, they fit better. Briefs are too tight - gotta give your boner some room to grow, ya know? Of course if you're perfectly trimmed and don't get hard too often, I suppose you could go with briefs, but boxer briefs are clearly better.
And don't get the white ones. I don't think I need to explain why.
Oh, and you said it yourself. You like Playstation controllers because you're used to them. But if you play with them equally as you do Xbox 360 controllers (or even GameCube controllers), and you're not a Playstation fanboy (in fact, even if you are), I'm pretty confident the majority of people will like the 360 controller better. The main FLAW (yes, actual flaw) with the Playstation controller is that the shoulder buttons are too far in the front and too high, so to hit them with your index fingers will cause cramping a lot easier than the 360 controller.
CapnJack said:I have spent many hours with the xbox 360 controller beat Lost Odyssey and Working my way through star ocean right now, Plus the normals of Gears 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 online, Ninja Gaiden 2, ChromeHounds, Kameo, Mass Effect, Penny Arcade 1 and 2, and numerous others, Still find the playstation controller more comfortable. Sorry Just the way my hands fit it I guess. I like the weight I like the analog positions, I like the shoulder buttons I just like the controller always have. Not saying the xbox controller is bad it just doesn't fit my hand as well and the response of the face buttons and bumpers seems mushier then the ps3.midpipps said:Or maybe I like it because it is what I have used for many years and it feels comfortable and natural to me? I was just commenting on how narrow minded your post was heck I bet you there are still people that would much rather have the original NES controller then any of the new ones and that was just a rectangle with buttons on it. I know people who still like their old really loud clicky keyboards from back in the windows 3.1/Dos days. Everyones hands are different you may not like it and that is a respectable opinion but respect other peoples opinions that do like it.
Oh and I wear standard boxers I don't like feeling constricted.![]()

As a GameCube owner, I can understand why your friend felt this way. While FPSs never quite worked with a GC controller, I couldn't imagine Super Smash Bros. Melee, F-Zero GX, or Star Wars Rogue Leader handling particularly well with a 360 controller. Those games were too well designed around the hardware specifics. (I Brawl with the GC controller, btw).Megacherv said:The Gamecube controller in my and my friend's opinion (who is with me as I write this) is crap compared to both the 360 and PS3 controllers, and he preferred the Gamecube over anything until he got his Wii and 360
